Yeah they are catching ocean side. I bought a kayak from a friend that was to good to pass up. I've been fishing the sound over by Whalebone. Got into them yesterday, but they were all just short, 16-17"

I spent my Mother’s Day weekend fishing on the Oregon coast for 3 days straight. (Can’t think of a better way to spend it!)

We tried for Halibut out of Charleston with no luck Friday, and Saturday. But still limited on Lingcod and rockfish. Boat in by 6:30am and came in around 4pm each day. One of those days was a really low tide and the bar wasn’t open until late morning so we spent that time crabbing the Bay and clamdigging until it was open. Sunday we went out of Winchester Bay, and didn't target Halibut. We threw crab pots on the way out and limited on Lingcod and rockfish (mostly large Canary) by 11am which was nice so we could get back to camp, clean the boat, filet the fish, and cook crab with plenty of time to sit and chill for the remainder of my Mother’s Day.

Boat cost far more than the truck so I can’t disagree with you there. :)

Crabbing in the bay in Charleston wasn’t super great. But Sunday when we went out of Winchester Bay we dropped ‘em once we were outside the bar in about 60 feet and got 18 good sized ones between 6 pots. Have definitely done better other days but I won’t complain at 18 between the three of us plus full limit of Lingcog and rockfish.

I drove down again yesterday and started setting up Fish Camp for the Summer. And then heading back down tomorrow to fish Friday and Saturday.

Our oldest with a Muskie he was able to land. Was fairly proud since the fish got one in on him and put a pretty deep cut on his finger while landing it and stuck with it.Resized_20200511_200701001.jpg

What a great way to spend mother's day! And all of the wonderful pictures to remember the good times! Awesome! But I got to say those fish are really ugly! Lol. I bet there tasty though! IMG_20190326_180709752.jpg

I rented a spot a block away from the boat ramp at Winchester Bay (Oregon) for the Summer. I came down earlier this week and set up Fish Camp, which will be our home away from home from now until then end of Summer. (Then we will pack up the tent to get it ready for Elk Camp).

I came back down Thursday night and fished Friday and Saturday. Both were great days fishing and crabbing. 14 Lingcod, 50 Rockfish, 38 crab and one random flounder.

Went fishing out at Eureka Bay at Lake Barkely, Ky.

I do not have pictures right now, but will add some later.

7 catfish. Hooked onto 2 that were probably in the 20 lb range. Line broke both times.

Oh well. Had fun with pops.

Caught this 37 inch 20lb fatty today. I joke with my Dad that he’s not allowed to gaff my fish because of how many he’s lost of mine.... but he did good today so he got to take a pic with me :)

Had lots of fun at a mountain top lake in Az. Cooked up 5 keepers. My son reeled in his first fish, it was great! 1589BAFE-E336-4302-BFE2-B8C6B5F7596A.jpg

Haven't been there yet, closest was probably Roper. Heading up north next week, going to try Dogtown.
