Took a fishing trip when I was 10 with my pap and dad to Canada. Still to this day this biggest smallie I've ever caught. Not sure of weight but damn if she wasn't a beauty.

I really want to go on one of those trips in San Diego. I'm out there every couple years for work.

Thresher tastes great, steaks have a pork chop like texture when cooked. Once you gut the shark, remove the fins and head- youre left with a "tube" of meat that you just cut into steaks. I use Italian dressing to marinate.

totally doable take an extra few days off. research which boat you want to go on, sometimes your schedule dictates which boat you'll be going on and enjoy the trip. theres license fee, boat fee, processing fee if you want to keep your fish and take it back home. you can have the deck hands do a quick and simple filet and tip them or have a processor do it. if you dock early morning you can have it ready later in the day but usually its next day pickup. you can freeze them and then fly it back with you in a cooler.

I usually have a day or two on either side of my trip. Just the way scheduling and flights work out. I am planning to be out there this July, but nothing is set in stone yet. Been dreaming about fresh yellowtail tacos

A few winter trout pics. It was cold, but that kept the crowds away!

Those trigger fish are wild. Great eating but I was shocked at how tough their skin is. Bit tricky to fillet. Maybe they vary by type but that was my experience with them when I caught them down in Cancun.

My husband has done a 10 day trip out of San Diego with his brothers and my Dad. It’s always a boys trip and it makes me a tad jealous since I love to fish.

Mainly do freshwater fishing, these lake snakes called Northern Pike are fun to catch. Love pan fishing and jigging for Walleye when not trolling for these guys...

Fishing off my paddleboard, fell off the back but I’m still holding the red fish. Luckily I was in knee-deep water. And yes catch and release.

Late decision to go fishing so didn't have time to hook up the boat plus Bull Shoals is about 22' high and storms were approaching so we threw a few rods in the 4runner and I picked up a decent smallmouth on a Jackhammer yesterday evening.

Fish from the Porgie family. We fish off the coast of SC. That fish was caught around Southwest Banks on the ledge.
