    I agree. It looks to me more like some sort of cutthroat. It has that red strip under its mouth and cutthroat can be very toothy.

    It very well could be a cut. Or some type of hybrid I had never seen a trout with teeth like that before I was told it was a tiger.

    I recognize this spot, went fishing there back in the mid 1970's with my mom and step dad, never caught anything but it was a good trip. Many years later my wife and I hunted elk in South Park, beautiful country and we lived in Conifer at the time just above a small private pond on the headwaters of Turkey creek where I caught a 21 inch Rainbow. One of the biggest trout I ever caught was at Chicago Lake on the way to Mt. Evans, it was a cutthroat trout that was only 19 1/2" but weighed 5 pounds, it was extremely deep from its back to its belly. Most all of the big fish I've every caught were on Rooster Tails.

    Yeah its a great late summer spot for fly fishing the water mid stream is really shallow and its just down river from a heavily pressured campground area in 11 mile canyon. I stand mid river and cast the slow current on the far bank. Ive puller some big rainbows from that spot on 4x fly rod and a 22 bwo.
