North Keys are pretty much back to normal. Still some construction where they are rebuilding things that got completely destroyed and still some remnants of those destroyed things. Don't know about the south keys now though. Big Pine area was the worst hit.

I went down to Key West in early December and it was pretty bad still. 20ft tall piles of debris for miles. Mobile homes torn apart just on the side of the road for trash. They've come a long way since then.

All the keys are definitely still visitable again though. Visitors coming in and spending their money is what will help them continue to recover.

That's good to know. I kept hearing it was a wasteland down there. I'm really glad they are showing signs of recovery.

Took my dad and both my boys fishing today. A great day on the lake aside from expired sunscreen and sunburns, here is my younger son with his best of the day - a nice plump 15.5” rainbow trout.

How do your bass fight down in the US? Do they provide a challenge as far as catching? All the bass I've caught here in Canada have been stupid easy to catch and done nothing but lay on their side and come in like a snagged stick. That combined with the fact they're an invasive, destructive species here in western Canada has them on the shit list of most anglers I know.

I know bass fishing is huge in the US. Are they more common than other classic freshwater sport species? Maybe they behave differently in the warmer waters down south?

Around here they are fun to catch, small mouth, because the put up a quick short fight. Not many past 3lbs 12". To my surprise I have been catching them year round. Steelhead fishing this last December and caught a small one. No fight at all, didn't even know he was on except a big tug with initial bite. So maybe it is the colder water.

    Rainbow Trout.

The only pic I have from my Kamloops trip. I'm not really in the habit of taking pics while fishing. My buddy just happened to have his camera ready to snap this one.

Caught on a Goddard Caddis dry fly using a 3 weight rod. Tons of fun. This was the smallest one from the trip (of course. LOL )

Spending a few days on the CT shore with my daughter, my brother and a few friends live nearby
Went fishing last night. Was able to to catch a few for dinner before I got sea sick lol.
Got quote a few Porgies which were good eating and a nice 19" Fluke which was delicious.

Went to my buddies pond which is full of good size bass, didnt catch one from shore. But we landed a few perch and sunnies / pumpkin seeds. We used to catch 16" bass every cast in this pond from a small row boat.
