I'm at work but I crossed paths with this tank following his girlfriend today. He knows he can't be hunted in this area. Clever bugger.

 

Got so lucky to set my eyes on this buck 2nd day of Vermont rifle. Cool to have him on Trail cam. But much more exciting to see them in person

This is the second buck I have had on cam that I was able to harvest. First was a 10 pointer I got him on cam the night before I got him

I do my own European mounts. Tree burls make awesome back wood for mounts.

I’m hoping to someday take my wife and boy out to Ohio. I have many friends that go out there and always seem to come back with nice deer.

 

Man as the father of a lil girl learning to hunt, I hope it ends up on HER bedroom wall.

 

Believe me it will definitely end up there. She already has her turkey fan and 4 turkey Beard's. Lol
Her mother doesn't really want it in there but......she and I don't care. It's so enjoyable watching the little ones become great hunters. She is 13 now and been successful every year since she was 8.

 

This guy is getting pretty decent, been watching him grow for a few years. Full rut chasing does around my yard when I got home yesterday from work. I can get a PLO tag for him right now... but the freezers full, so he gets to live another year. I have my archery targets set up so I can shoot off my deck into the gully he likes to cruise down... When the time comes, the shot will be well practiced...

 

This one I have been watching on some private land near me for a few years too, don't think he ever leaves a few backyards by the creek. He's a hoss, causes traffic jams pushing his cows around all the time, it's pretty funny...

 

He must be pretty old, his body looks pretty small for a big mature heard bull.

Haven't had the opportunity on a mature deer yet this year, but it's coming and wanted to contribute because I'm living vicariously through all y'all that have land access

 

Pretty sure he's on the regression side of things. He still holds a good 30-40 cows every year, which is average for the bigger bulls around here, although there's an 8x8 that I haven't managed to get a good picture of that lives on one of the bigger acreages up here, he regularly has 50-60 cows. He's freaking massive. Most bulls up here get pretty old, it's about 90% private land, and the public gets hammered by weekend traffic from the front range, so doesn't seem to hold many critters.

 

After seeing nothing but bear's the past week and half, finally filled a tag on public land.
