What are you guys using for the portable jump starters such as the ones from Noco, DBPower etc? I am looking for one that is safe, reliable, and holds a charge for a descent amount of time. Some of the ones that I came across had reviews saying that their charge was at 80% after 3 weeks of storage. Thanks.

Project Farm had a video up on youtube recently testing a bunch of jump starter packs. Take it for what it's worth.

I'm against leaving them in your vehicle. I had one explode in my truck and thankfully my truck didn't catch on fire.

Aren't they lithium batteries? I know Lipos will swell up.

Rockford fosgate has a kit. Got one for Christmas and it works great. Even used it to jump large diesel motors. Kit fits nicely in the door pocket

Noco has been solid for me. still hold 100% charge even after months sitting in my truck. I can use it to charge my phone too at camp.

Audew's website thanks Project Farm channel for their review, says they are sold out and expecting more, and have raised the price $20.

I can say DONT buy the HF one. I bought it cause I was in a pickle. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. It'll read full charge, then struggle to crank over a car. Then other times it'll work perfectly. It's not very confidence inspiring. I still carry jumpers with me.
