Yes, you definitely can. You'll need a good bench/vice, impact, and reciprocating saw.

Reciprocating saw? To install bushings? Kinda lost me there. I have a 20 ton press at my house but won't be doing the work there, and I REALLY don't wanna load that thing up

Just in case you have to cut the bushing sleeves out. I've had to chisel one out in pieces before because it was rusted/seized. Would've made it a heck of a lot easier for me.
Just the right fittings and you should be able to do it with a ball joint press.

Ahh for the sleeve! I'm hoping that won't be a problem, truck has zero rust, but who knows. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I'm installing new UCAs so gonna refresh the lowers while I'm at it

Finally done with a 3 month job, and my bushings were waiting for me today! I quickly realized my ball joint press is too small to fit these massive bushings, and my 20 ton press is 5 hrs away, so looks like I'm taking it to a machine shop to get them pressed in

Has anyone else noticed how the big bushing doesn't have a taper, but the smaller bushing is tapered, and falls almost all the way into the hole, and only has to be pressed in a half inch or less? Would this cause any issues? Seems like it has alot of room to move up and down under load

So I got bushings pressed in, had to take it to a machine shop, 18 bucks a bushing and he made the metal collars to fit them perfectly, his press had a gauge on it, and it never went over 5 tons. I did apply anti seize to the inside so that may have reduced friction, a 12 ton press from harbor freight should be able to handle this job no problem! He also told me the smaller bushing with the shoulder was designed like that to allow wiggle room for alignment. So I got my answer to that question

Finally got around to getting an alignment and wrapping this project up. Truck rides great with the new steering and LCA bushings, firmer, but well worth it. Steering feels new/stock again.

These fit 2014-2021 Tundras? I have a 2018 and looking to replace the bushings with polys.
