Did you have the stock shocks as well? If I remember the stock ride height from center of wheel to fender is 21 inches if you measure from there you’ll get an idea of the difference. It could be the first picture but the stock tire size could be making it look that way. Nice looking truck BTW.

Thanks dude. I'm really happy with it. All the pics in this thread are from after the lift.

All of the shocks are still stock.

All of my measurements were taken from the ground to the lip of the fender.

I personally would have went with the bilstein 5100’s in the front to level it . But I’m sure the spacers where a lot cheaper.

Yeah that's pretty strange. Are you getting 3.5 on both front sides?

Pretty much. I don't remember the exact numbers, but the gains were within 1/8" of each other. I've got it written down out in my garage.

Well, that's pretty good. 3 1/2 inches is about the max due to yours being a 4x4. I bet it changes with the alignment. Sounds like you should just go with it!

Spacers and shims are not a 1 to 1 ratio. IIRC, its 1.5 to 1.

Picked it up from the shop today. He said they didn't have any trouble getting the alignment within specs......IMG_4220.jpg

However, I do have to take it to Toyota in the morning......the changes in steering angles have the computer all confused. For now, ABS isn't working, no lane departure warning, no cruise control, no speedometer (digital or analog) and I keep getting a message that if I am towing a trailer that I need to pull over and contact my dealer. Talked to a couple of dealers and the shop that did the alignment (small local shop/not Toyota), and seems like I need to get it in and have a re-calibration done. Being a 2019, the independent shop that did the work doesn't have the necessary software to do the computer re-calibration.

    Wish me luck.

That has nothing to do with changes in the alignment. A sensor is either unplugged or damaged. Most likely a speed sensor.

Really? I don't know.....3 different shops seem to think its a computer issue........

Where can I find these sensors? Is it something I can check myself?

It is a 2019...I know there are a lot of new computer/sensor problems on starting with this year model....

Start checking lines going to and near the hubs. None of these trucks have these issues from an alignment unless something was damaged in the process. The lack of the speedometer is immediate indication of a damaged speed sensor. There really isn’t computer or sensor problems with these trucks at all. 99% of these issues stem from human error.

It's not exact; on my truck a 1/4" shim only gives .4" of lift - a 1/2" shim .8" of lift (Toytec advertises their 1/2" height shim as providing a 1/2-3/4" lift - while Coachbuilder advertises their 1/2" height shim as providing a 1" lift - it varies by truck).

You just lose a lot of valuable Caster when you lift it with stock upper control arms - your down in the 2 range on Caster - whereas stock you can be 3+; other trucks like F150's etc. have 4+ stock; many sports car have 9+ stock. So it just depends how tight you want the driving experience to be - caster will help with stability and precision cornering - if you want more caster you need aftermarket upper control arms.

Turns out that for some reason the acceleration sensor was disconnected. Toyota figured that out and recalibrated and everything works fine now.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure I would have had to have it done either way. Just odd that that sensor was disconnected.

My salesman warned me that I'd have to have it recalibrated when I told him my plans. Or he said I could just turn it off, because it would be over $1000 to recalibrate. I haven't noticed any issues on mine, but it's only up couple inches right now with 5100s.

I don't know what an acceleration sensor is or where it is. I took my speed sensors out when I removed my struts, but never found anything else that was in harms way. Glad they got you fixed up though.
