Water capacity was one of the things I was filtering by when we bought this one. 50gal in a 21’ camper is pretty good, we rarely get close to running out on long camping trips. Believe the black and grey are 20 each which is the limiting factor.

Not sure which tires I used. When I bought my two campers, I simply asked them to upgrade me to American made tires so I don't have the exploders. I believe both times I was upgraded to Goodyear. They were great tires.

Excellent! That is, from what I heard, a really great protector. Agree on the generator. Now, I did remember one thing in my last post. There is a device you can put on your AC which does something called a soft start or a low start. It basically absorbs the amp hit from when it turns on and the generator does not have that spike. I never got one installed since we used shore power, but it may be worth looking at.

The water is the big one. Yes, carrying the cans can work, but depending on how long you will be in one place, that may get tiring quickly. Also, you will want to be careful on how the water is. I would advise getting one of the water filters you hook up and run the water through.

Another option, when you get to your location, or near, stop by and ask to fill your fresh water and then use the water pump to supply your water. I did that several times and it is nice to have that as a back up. Then, before you leave, drop your fresh, black, and grey tanks.

LOL, that was what my family used it for! The 21 gallon is not bad. We all learned how to do a military shower. Get in, wet, water off, soap, lather, wash, water on, rinse, water off, shampoo, wash, water on, rinse, water off.

This will save a lot of water, especially since most water tanks are only 6 gallons. If you do go to tankless, that works, but you will be burning through a lot of propane from what I heard.

Lastly, as @KNABORES said, your black and grey tank is the big limiter. There is a portable black tank, but then you have a few other things to do: https://products.bestreviews.com/be...portable black tank for rv&p=&pc=&ap=&acid=21.

However, we, as a community, are not doing a great job of talking you OUT of the camper as much as helping you INTO a camper :D:anonymous:. Someone looking at this thread is going to be wondering how this constitutes a talking out of!

Well, I was successfully talked out of the smaller camper, so that's a win.....

Also, at least for the near future, we would not be camping for more than a few days at a time. If we were, it would likely be at a site with more amenities. We will likely use the facilities where we are camped for #2s as much as possible to reduce my workload lol. My wife is really the only one that pees before she wakes up lol.

My black and Grey are 30 gallons each, so I figure its enough. Planning on rolling with 5 gallons in each to keep everything from sticking and such.

I was able to talk down the dealer a couple grand to get rid of those bullshit fees. They wanted to charge me 2 grand for a few cheap hoses and filling the propane tank....I was born, but it wasn't yesterday.

True. And I do think you will be happier with the little bigger camper for sure.

I always used the regular facilities in that instance, for numerous reasons, but one because I love my family too much to put them through that, HA! The workload of that is what will take majority of the time in packing and getting ready to go.

As you camp, you will see what you like, don't like, things you would change. We went through four different storage setups within two months a year ago. That is part of the fun. Figuring things out and putting it together.

Oh, the black and grey is that big! You are good to go then. That was the size of ours and we could go several days, but we used water sparingly for sure. Glad to hear you got a good deal on the camper. Yeah, I would have walked away from them filling my propane. The funny thing is, with our solar, and the use of shore power, we still had a full tank of propane that they filled when we got it! I think we didn't even use the stove once on our newer camper (I grilled outside most of the time), and we never used the heater. We also had a gas/electric water heater and used the electric all the time. So the gas tank just sat there.

I don't have a traditional "smart" phone so it is interesting to see how other apps look. That is a great amount of information. Thanks for sharing.

They are OK, as always just be sure to check pressure before each trip. They are load D and after about 2 years I had a blow out. Wheel was toast and the tire F’d up a bit of the underside. I couldn’t find more than load D for 14” wheels so upgraded to 15” wheels and load E, Carlisle Radial Trail HD. Haven’t had an issue since then at 4 years from the upgrade and it’s used once a month.

Mine comes with a tankless that runs on propane so I'll probably only use it for that. I prefer gas for that anyway so it works.
