Well I have had my 08 Tundra DC 4X 5.7 SR5 for a few years now. It runs like a scolded dog. But I’m really tempted to sell or trade it in. For some reason I’m really attracted to a two seater sports car like a used Vette or Mercedes, etc. please talk me out of it. Budget doesn’t allow for both and my wife doesn’t want me to have both at the same time. Too much excess or some bologna like that.

Tough call! Live large because you only live once or be financially responsible and make a better investment? Can you find a happy median?

Yesterday I found the motorcycle I have been looking for for a long time. I looked at it this morning and it was perfect.

Now isn't the best time for me financially so I passed it up, but I know I won't find another like that. I never should have even looked at it.

I felt like I wanted to throw up leaving the guy's house. I knew it was a mistake not buying it, but also knew it was a better decision not to buy it.

Something similar happened to me once before with a different motorcycle. At that time I decided to spend the money on a boat the whole family could use instead of the bike.

That ended up being a great decision.

EVERY red blooded american male needs to own a vette within his lifetime.
Do you need the truck to do truck things? Will a vette do what you need? It doesn't transport kids with baby seats very well, a tundra will. If it fits for your needs, get a vette. Enjoy it a few years and buy a redesigned Tundra when Toyota finally releases it.

We might be neighbors pretty soon. I’m in concord right now but my wife got a new job in SC and we are loving Rock Hill. I was just using Mercedes as an example. Not big on them either. Too much to maintain.

Well, if the spousal-unit shoots down the +Vette idea you can always compromise by "settling" for a super-charger. The art of the deal....

Rock Hill is great but getting crowded fast. I just started a new job in Pineville so now traveling the Celanese/77/485 everyday and Celanese is by far the worst part of my commute. I actually live between Rock Hill and York.

I definitely wouldn't go with a Benz unless you o ly own it within the warranty period. I used to work at a Benz dealership and even low mile vehicles would frequently come back for major repairs. I would go with a Lexus RC F personally!

I’m fairly certain a RCF will be my wife’s next car. She keeps looking at L/Certified low mileage ones, but I want to buy her a new car. Problem is, the RCF depreciates horribly.

My older brother,Nam vet, is on his 4th Vette. Quite frankly not as cool as his new 69 Chevy Maroon SS Malibu that he had plenty of Nam service $$ to trick out....

A truck has more use, transport stuff and you can go anywhere a sports car can’t, I hate getting in and out of cars. Find a good used 3rd gen, I got my 14 limited 4x4 8000 miles for $38,300. No problems and going on 55,000 miles.

Bang for your dollar, very hard to beat a Corvette in Grand Sport or higher packages.

I would not buy new, Corvettes go down in value faster that a front seat hooker with a 100.00 bill in your #waistband.

Maintenance is pretty good on these cars. 10.5 qts of Mobil 1, brake pads are cheap in comparison to other competitors, power delivery is insane, handling is point and shoot (good and bad depending on what's going on with your ass end)

    https://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/d/2008-chevrolet-corvette-cpe/6603615016.html

Personally, I would consider a C6 ZO6. That's what I wanted, but I ended up buying the Grand Sport, which ended up being more car than most can handle.

If you never need a truck. I say go for it.
Just remember, the Tundra held great resale value and you’ll get a nice chunk to whatever vehicle of your choice. But it may be money out the window when you realize you want something different, or need a truck again. That’s if you choose something that has poor resale value. That’s why these Lexus sport luxury cars are appealing.
