Truck looks awesome! I'm really considering that Voodoo rack. Would you do 18" again?

 

Yup! I love it! Solid and well built. I got all the parts but I know of a few who had missing bolts. The directions are not the best! Basically here is a pic make it look like that! Uhh, yeah...

Lots of room to see out the back window and room in the bed for stuff. I use a Decked system so that space is important!

I just want to remind the members of this forum, as you browse through build pages..go at your own pace! And do what makes you happy! @1UPPER is the only one that is allowed to 1UP anyone around here!

No one needs to go over credit limits or sell the house for a new lift. Be informed. Talk to members who have done what you want to do. Make a plan or just go with the flow. Learn from mistakes, cuz there could be lots!
And be flexible! I had a great opportunity to wheel with Alex @osidepunker in Big Bear this weekend but his engine mounts were shot and needed replacing. No reason to sulk. I still went. Ended up being solo, but I loved every bit of it! Awesome drive, still got to take in a trail, gorgeous camp site, cooked up a great meal and just got out, which I think most of us wants. And needs. This is our outlet. From the stresses of life and work and sometimes family.
And that’s why I try to include the places I go, because it IS part of the build! Building to a life filled with memories and new friends and more adventures. Be inspired to make goals and enjoy the process in how you get there, cuz I know you will get there!

I let another girl, driving a Range Rover, pass me on the trail and I’m not quite shire she knew where she was headed...

Lots of great pictures! Reminds me of my families trip last year through California and Oregon.

I've noticed a lot of people on here have either a pristine mall crawler or a capable trail rig. I really appreciate how you baby your truck with time and fancy detailing products, but don't hesitate to get dirty to have fun! I'm glad you found our little forum, MoneyT. You've made it better up in here!

Sean @15whtrd got some answers on the SS Built bumpers, also on other questions that I had...

Bumpers - around 60lbs

Fender liners in engine bay stay to keep free of water

Tensile strength tests have not been done, they do have customers towing 6500+ lbs

Skids are 20lbs and can be removed with 6 bolts for oil changes.


2-3 weeks out!

 

i'd like to see their sliders when they get to it

 

Most pics on Facebook are bumpers and roll bars...this may be the end of a slider, not really sure...other pics have trucks and 4runners their side view...I think I will reach out and ask if Steve can get me some pics...
