Confusing. When selecting submodel, the crew cab is the only option, but the description says double cab.

The web site appears to be messed up with the Shop By Vehicle feature. But they only make the Blade for DC, not CC, unfortunately. Not sure why, as they make the Star bars for both models.

Probably sell more of them if they only made CrewMax too.

These look nice, any side profile shots? They look similar to the Iron cross Patriots.

I odered those about a week sgo and they came in last night. The box was mangled but they only had a couple of scuffed spots on the coating. NFab's shop is only about 5 miles from me... going to drop by there tomorrow to see if they have a touch-up solution. Hope to have them on by this weekend if it ever stops raining here. They are "beefy" steps... seem stout and parking lot car doors will suffer!

They do look much like iron cross patriots in pictures, though I haven't done a side by side. The price was $550 installed at dealership. There is no discernible branding on them I have found yet.

Size 11, this is a wide board. Used to the stock ford and this seems giant. My wife is very happy. I also like there are 4 mounting points where I see others may have 2-3.

    Hey Meltz,

That step looks pretty solid, does it have four mounting brackets? Does it flex any? I was looking for something like yours that covers the truck bed step up like on a Chevy kodiak you can walk on the step back to the bed and load/unload.

I believe it has at least 4 mounting brackets. Ive been using it for a few years now and it's pretty useful, I will say my only complaint is that when you step on the third step to load/unload into the bed it's not the most stable, I do feel some flex on that step. Would have been nice if they had another bracket closet to that step. So depending how heavy you are that may be a problem after some time I weigh about 150 and haven't had any issues. Just something to consider.

I've got the Patriot Folds of Honor steps as well. Functional, but a few things I don't care for with them.

    1. They collect dirt, mud, grit in the treads
    2. The fit is tight near the front just behind the wheel. Almost impossible to fit any brush or cloth in there between the step and body for my OCD cleaning.
    3. I prefer the looks of a rounder profile with step indents.

Otherwise, they are great. Very sturdy, clean up well and still look new after 2 years. A real benefit with my truck at 3" higher than stock. I'm still looking for something I like better. 1st world problem.

So,,, what is the best bar for protection and function as a step??? Something that is sturdy as a step you still get good protection and doesn’t get in your way when getting out. I like what came with the truck but it is just a step and it works great as one but I am sure it would not protect much off road??:). Thanks in advance,,,
