I do miss that truck a little but I have no regrets. Love the tundra. I have seen it twice more since then.
I wish I could find pics of my old 99 taco with 6 inch lift. That 3.4 was a great motor and the truck was solid. Too bad the frame rotted away.

I’m not sure if it’s because I owned it in college and those where just great times in general or if the Tacoma was really that awesome! I think about trading down to a Tacoma all the time...

This was the '00 Prerunner I inherited from my BIL back in June.

My son has a '98 TRD 4X4 that I enjoy driving so I had initially intended to keep the '00.

That all changed when we put the BIL's house on the market and I had to drive up to Sacramento to tow back a boat that was still on the property. Great little truck but it didn't tow worth a crap. Stopping power was the biggest issue. Not even that much of a load. Maybe a couple thousand pounds.

While I really liked the Taco for a daily driver, my wife and I intend to do some traveling/towing in the next couple years and the little Taco just wasn't going to cut it.

So, out with the Taco and in with the Tundra.

We're really liking the Tundra. Super comfy, like driving a big ol sofa, and WAY more balls.

Started out with an ‘04 F250 HD edition, downgraded to a Tacoma, recently upgraded Tundra (hopefully will be last for a long time).
Funny story though, my wife REFUSED to drive my 250 because it was two big. Got the Tacoma and she drove it all the time till she got in a major accident with it and almost totaled it. Thought if I upgrade s to a bigger truck she would not want to drive it again, boy was I wrong....now she wants to trade her car in for another Tundra LOL

No sir. I masked it and sprayed it. Same as tails. I have bright led lights in cargo and reverse. I don’t see the point of tinting them out to loose function of them.

99, 01, ‘00 LC, ‘05, had an ‘04 double can Tundra, no pics, was kind of a turd, sure was comfy though. Was the third owner of an ‘83 Honda Wagovan for a while too. Now the ‘11 MGM Double. I don’t think we’ll be changing again soon. Everything up to the ‘11 was fun being single!
