My first Toyota truck was the same ‘87 but mine was a metallic blue. Really hate I sold that truck. Sweet red one you’ve got there!

I kick myself for selling mine as well but the money went to buy a lifetime hunting permit so it has paid off. The 85 has been a project for the last few years. Fun but Expensive.

I got into a toyota late in life. I was all Honda and then Subaru for quite some time.

My 2006 Scion TC is what I consider my 1st Toyota.

My first Toyota Toyota which I consider my 2nd is an 05 Prius which I still have and will drive until its wheels fall off. Love the Prius.

This thread makes me wanna cry! Lol.
Wish I had a picture of my ‘83 4x4…thought the transmission was going out. Fire sold it to a guy - his brother in law bought another rig off me a few years later. The Toyota was cruising around Mexico after he replaced the fuel pump…fml… live and learn.
Fire sold my ‘94 to a “friend”…the deal was he would give me first right of refusal to ever buy it back. The jackass sold it a couple years ago… I practically gave the damn thing to him and he never appreciated it. Needless to say…we aren’t friends anymore.

This is the vehicle that sold me on toyota. 03 Rav4 that my wife got when we first got together. I drove it for a hunting season when my Dodge decided to drop a valve. We gave it to the inlaws and they are still driving it with over 300k miles on original parts minus the alternator.

Not to date myself but my first was a hand me down 1972 Toyota Corona that I started driving whenn I got my license in 1982. 7DBB2E7A-24CD-43F4-A241-DABFE922B2B8.jpg Not mine. I dont have any pics. A little before cell phones. Lol
Then when that finally died with 185k i bought a brand new Celica GT hatchback. It was the showroom model. Last one on the lot. I paid 13,600. Pretty funny

1994 pickup......sold it like an idiot. I bought it around 130k with a rebuilt engine. There must have been a mistake made because the timing chain broke on the highway within a few thousand miles. I tore it down and replaced it. She fired right up and ran perfectly. The 22RE is an interference engine as I recall....mechanical miracle.

My attempt to get another one after selling the first, it wasn't quite the same as what I had before, '93:

The Scion definitely counts as a Toyota.

I test drove one with a 5spd, it was a blast to drive. I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was.

I bought one with an auto for a 3rd car my wife could drive. She doesn't have any interest in learning the manual. Still fun, but not like the 5spd was.

I wonder if anyone is ever happy they got rid of a Toyota pickup or first gen taco...I'd love to daily drive one again. The Tundra is nice, but the size and mpg makes it cumbersome for me as a dd.

First and only Toyota. 2007 Tacoma, 252k miles with only regular maintenance, replaced tensioner bearing, and temp/compass repair. Been patiently waiting since 2017 for a new gen Tundra and figure I'll end up with a 2023. 20210917_103037.jpg

Somehow every vehicle I've owned up until this year has been domestic. Including the Mazda...at the time it was made is was nothing but a rebadged Ford. Last December after my Saturn was totaled, my rental was a 2020 Corolla. Bought a 2000 Xterra, then ended up with my 2007 Tundra in June. When I get my new daily it will absolutely be a Toyota product.

I really need more pics of the Tundra. o_O
