Yes sir. Feeds from Lake Tahoe (Dam at Tahoe City, Ca.) and ends up in Pyramid Lake, Nevada.

Rural Western Pennsylvania

 

Ok.. I grew up in Sac, so been to Truckee more than once!!! I saw you're from Tx, so I thought maybe the darn thing ended up in Tx somehow

Anyhow, funny story... So most of the Truckee is very shallow and cold as %$ck; it actually runs under a walkway leading to the county courthouse, so my uncle and I (back when I was a kid) used to grab a grab a swim mask and pop into the river and search for tossed engagement and wedding rings (kinda like panning for gold I guess). He said he watched a couple of people come out of the courthouse (apparently after a divorce) and toss their rings in the river when he was younger, so he started searching near that bridge a couple times a year...

I found a couple w/him doing that over the course of a few trips!

a few more from the fair. forcing myself to get more comfortable with a 28mm lens as i've never really used anything wider than a 35, with the exception of the surf work.

Great photos... Those little stuffed clowns at the 44sec mark were purely evil looking though; probably the point!!!

 

ferncliff forest walk. been here almost a year and this is the first time i've been down there. unemployed again so it was a good spot to try and clear the head.

moved the oldest kiddo into the city for school last weekend. never in a million years would i have guessed that i'd have a kid living in nyc but, they're super stoked. that's all that matters.



wandered over to the lynsey addario exhibit at the sva gallery in chelsea. if you're in the area, highly recommend stopping in for a visit but be prepared, it is not a warm fuzzy feel good show. images are graphic, large prints and in color. i had no idea she was embedded in the korengal valley. i knew she was in afghanistan but not there. there were only 2 black and white prints in the entire gallery which i found interesting. lots of interesting bits about her life too. old cameras, passports, visas, press passes, flak jacket, sweatshirt given to her during one of two middle east kidnappings. the historical record, and its significance, she has captured is nothing short of amazing.



















found a new gig too. it's a weird mashup of my background in technical software sales and photography/cinematography work. going to be making a documentary over the next year that will hopefully be shown at a film fest in the fall of '23. i'll make periodic updates.

 

this forest service road convinced me that it is time to replace the factorry suspension. Will be ordering bilstien 6112/5150 combo.

 

no. work in denver dried up and we couldn't afford to stay. plus, i needed out of the city. now we're out of a city but still having a hard time with work. still plugging away though. silver lining, kids are all doing amazingly well which makes things slightly easier.

currently in marquette. then home for a bit then back on the road for a bit. and the cycle continues.

 

lake superior performance rally started today. wish i could be here for the whole run.

 

Was out on the west coast this week. Monterey Bay Marina & One from Pebble Beach area.
