Real estate isn't easy but if you can get locked in, it stays consistent. Good for you.

I just got back from a camping and fishing trip. I took these along the way with a Motorola Moto G smartphone. Pretty impressed with them for cell phone pics.

Piper had her birthday party with friends this morning over at the Wings Over The Rockies museum. I love that place and Piper can't get enough of it. Tons of history and I love thinking about the stories hidden within the aircraft resting there. Would love to be able to crawl up into the B1 but I get a firm no every time I ask so, I stopped asking. I set up a little portrait station for her and her friends that worked out great.

Like that one. Cool blue tones are some of my favorite. Really like how the lines in the clouds match the lines in the surf. Tree adds a nice balance.

@smslavin as a surfer who read those magazines through the years I appreciate your work. I definitely want to start shooting from the water but I don't know where to start.

    Nicely done.

I’ve only done a few but need to do more. Last one I did was ISO 1000, f/2 or 2.8, manual focus. If you don’t want star trails, there’s a formula for shutter speed, 600/focal length. The tricky part for me is always nailing the focus. Getting the color to pop is all in the editing.

@Theonlyway would love to hear how you made this one.

I picked up the Rokinon f/2.8 12mm to try and get some like this.

It was 15 seconds at f1.8 iso 1600. Here is an unedited picture. I just did some quick adjustments. This is also jpeg and not the raw files. I used the 5d mkiv with sigma 14mm art 1.8

Sturgeon Bay, a couple hours up the lake from Milwaukee. It is slated to be razed. Lots of political controversy around that...
