Ditto!

 

this kid's been through a lot the past few months. she didn't quit. didn't stop fighting. didn't stop asking for help. now, catching up on school work and making it to the end of the year banquet with all the theater majors from her high school.



we're not in smooth sailing mode yet but hopefully soon. hopefully real soon.

 

A real beauty! Glad to hear things are getting better.

 

I wanted to share another one of my favorite shots.

 

I really enjoy going out in the desert and watch the sunset.

 

I'm a retired high school teacher, and can say students like her are the people I most admire.

the ballet studio where i was shooting this evening now has a studio pup, crosby. he wasn't going to let all the ballerinas have their glamour moment without sneaking in right at the end.



he got a little confused with puss-n-boots wandering around.



back at it tomorrow afternoon/evening then shooting their performances this saturday and sunday.

 

THis one is not taken with my good camera, I used my iPhone.

 

this one is off to moscow next week. really wish we all could have gone. it's going to be an amazing two weeks for her.

 

That will be a trip she will remember for a lifetime. Safe travels for that young lady. You have a beautiful family. You sir are a lucky man.

my wife is going with her. should be an incredible trip.

with everything that has happened in the past few months, it's been difficult to keep that in perspective. thank you for the reminder.

 

a couple of favorites from last night. these kids are so talented for their age.

 

Camping last weekend, Gunflint lake northern Minnesota.

 

this kid was a total rock star for her shows this weekend.



sometimes it's hard to believe she's only 12. and, yes, the ballet studio has me photograph their shows from backstage. it's quite fun and the level of talent in these kids is off the charts. every time i think they can't continue to impress me, they prove me wrong.

 

I hate to say it but my iPhone 8 Plus takes better than me with any quality camera/lenses

Thanks, man! The first one is with a 10 stop ND with no graduation. The last one was actually a focus stack of probably 6-8 exposures, so the clouds get blurred like a long exposure.

 

Beautiful shots man! I hope to get out there someday. Beautiful country.

some much needed trail time today. there is solace in open spaces. it was an afternoon of peace for both my mind and my soul. those moments are too far apart these days. i need to find a way to be here much more often. dillen and piper felt it too.

 

Man those are some beautiful shots, and there is no doubt that you enjoyed the scenery.
