Funny. We were just saying it’s the busiest we’ve ever seen in Yellowstone. We drove through from Jackson up to paradise valley Montana. Stopped for lunch at this beautiful spot. The park was mobbed

Went camping this weekend. Used a "new to me" dutch oven to make some Jambalaya over the fire! It turned out better than expected. I don't have pics of the Jambalaya, but I do have a pic of the pot afterward.

Thank you for helping me. I knew it was made in the US, but could not see a maker mark or anything to tell me what it is. It worked out really well.

This was given to me by my Father in Law and was purchased about 20 something years ago. The last time it was used, before me, was early 2000's. He stopped working with Boy Scouts, and this just sat in his shed. Since I do a bit of cooking with cast iron, and also go out with my son in Trail Life a lot, he gave it to me.

He also included his tool he got from, I'm not sure where other than BSA. It is this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/167740334880?norover=1&itemid=167740334880&merchantid=51291.

It worked out really well for my purpose this weekend and now planning on another camping trip to cook with it again. :hungry::stirthepot::D!

They are great for baking. Lasagna, cakes, biscuits, anything and everything. Here's a good reference page for temps. https://idahotrailsassociation.org/2024/06/dutch-oven-cooking-tips-for-beginners/
