My baby boys birthday is the 14th of next month. He wants to drive Phantom Canyon. Yes, we know there is nothing difficult about it, just a nice drive, a really nice drive.

Anyone want to tag along? I haven't decide if I'm riding or driving. Let me know and we can meet up somewhere and go check it out. I haven't done it in years, should be a good time.

Check if it's open. It was closed about a month ago....FYI.

I'd be in if weather and time permit.

It was open yesterday. The youngest follows someone on IG. There was some snow on the edges.
It's looking like Saturday, March 16th.

I'm assuming this will be a zero dark 30 start from the Springs? @Grumpy Uncle

Not super early, maybe 9 A.M. It'll take less than 1.5 hrs to get there from here. Fountain

We can do it 2 ways, go down by the Royal Gorge and hit it that way or we can go out 67 and hit it from Victor.

If we start by the RG we will go up hill, if we start in Victor we go down hill.

Another way, for maximum off-road for the day:

Old Stage Road from behind the Broadmoor. Take that all the way out to Victor, take phantom canyon road all the way to 50, and then choose the route back.

I was thinking of that, I didnt know if anyone else would be down for it. I'm down, the meeting place can be the IHOP or Home Depot parking lot there in Southgate.

Shelf Rd. It actually runs parallel to Cripple Creek the real creek. I never heard of it. I just looked at it on a map. I think it is called CR88. Not sure though, will research it some more.

Will y'all have family or friends with you. I'm asking because Mi Reina wants to make sure she has enough cupcakes orcookies for everyone. Since this turned into a quasi trail birthday party for my youngest puppy.

@ChefJose and @T-Rex266 y'all are invited as well. We may need some white supervision.
