What I actually wish for, is someone to accept all my truck mod parts shipments, hold them for me and-- in a perfect arrangement-- drink beer while we install in your driveway... so I can sneak mods onto the truck(s) without getting in trouble at home.

** Probably better you not be a Tundra enthusiast, 'cause you getting in trouble over my shipments won't strengthen our relationship.

Lol I can't be the only one on here in frequent hot water over truck mods. I've seen posts on Latest Purchase and Tundras Lives threads. Figured we need a dedicated thread for the dedicated addicts to help each other stay married.

Sean, is your wife totally good when she finds a bunch of boxes waiting outside, or have you ever had to... coordinate receipt?

boxes arrive with either sdhq tape or b&h photo tape on them. sdhq tape disappears into the garage almost as fast as the ups guy gets it off the truck. b&h tape comes into my office. if i'm not here, depending on the size of the box, i get a text saying 'wtf? christmas again?' sometimes it's followed by a smiley face. or the poo emoji. or both. usually both.

seriously though, she knows the truck is my mid-life crisis therapy project.

i keep reminding her it could be worse...

PS - I'm one of the guys with the exact same problem as you. Thankfully we have multiple accounts and she doesn't monitor all of them
I'm trying to figure out to get away with the SuperCharger. That's going to be a Uber ride back and forth to the install shop, or the wife. She's going to question why the truck is down for multiple days.
Haven't figured that one out yet.

 

Just say you let a friend borrow the truck for a few days to move some shit.

 

I need the same thing!!!! It gets pretty complicated trying to hide rock slider in the garage without the wife noticing, is freaking hard!!

I'm all for encouraging conspiracies....but I'm probably a bit too far from you

 

I send everything to my work address. I work for a construction company; we have a couple workshops in the back and mechanics, electrician and welder on duty to answer questions or lend a hand.
Once it is on the truck my wife doesn't even notice the difference. I have not done anything major to the Tundra though.

 

She knows I'd never let anyone borrow my vehicles/toys LOL.

 

Being single....I don't have to justify all my mod / parts purchases!

 

So it's not just me! I used to be able to intercept packages, working nights and sleeping days-- but now these deliveries sometimes happen late evenings, weekends. I get texts at work.... These new "convenient" delivery schedules are testing my marital communication.

I think the fact that I bought another truck days before I mentioned doing so, didn't help matters.

Right?!! I'm driving around with a boxed RCI skid in the truck so it doesn't go into the house (can't violate the 'one in, one out' rule I agreed to, but I think leaving stuff out in the truck is a technical exception).

Yeah. That was working great for awhile, and I can still sneak small packages in that way. But sliders, armor, a bed rack, RTT, Waterport and Road shower....

Let's say, my continued receipt of personal packages at work has been discouraged.

This is it: road trip! Leave with a stock truck, come back with it fully modded, hope nobody notices.

 

This won't work with The BFT (inferno), but I may do this with the 1st gen. I promised myself not to let that one get "precious", and treat it like a truck.

 

Just tell her it needed a new intake just don't tell her the new one Forces air.
