    The original owner built it and several other houses in the neighborhood in the late 1980s; He and his wife were living there when HBO approached them about using the house as the Soprano home in 1997. All exterior shots were filmed on location, but with the exception of the pilot episode, all scenes inside the house were done at Silvercup Studios in NYC. The husband and wife put the house on the market in 2019 for $3.4 million; I have no idea if they actually got that or even if they sold it, but there were no cars in the driveway when I was there. Somebody does definitely live there though.

    David Chase admitted in an interview a few years ago that Tony was killed by a hired hit man, and the screen going black was to show that Tony was shot in the back of the head.

    If it has new owners; The original owners may still own it. Even in today's insane market the estimated value on Zillow is less than $1.8 million; They were asking $3.4 million back in 2019, before COVID even started, just because of the house's fame. That is literally double what it's worth now.
