    Yeah tundras are impossible to judge. 2wd and 4wd base models have all the same wheel tire combos. Same for trd models

    Same with the new GM SUVs and certain GM trucks; I've been into Chevy trucks longer than I've been into Toyota trucks, but once I was old enough to drive I told my dad I wanted a Toyota truck (my wish came true!)...

    2WD Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras are generally easily identifiable by the smaller tires, slightly lower suspension/ride height, and lack of 4x4 badges. It was apparently possible to order 2WD 2007-2013 Silverado 1500s with the Z71 package (according to Chevy's online "build your own" tool), but I've have never seen one in person. Why would anybody want a Z71 2WD? Same reason people buy a Tacoma PreRunner! They want a truck with beefed up suspension and higher ride height, but have no use for 4WD and thus don't want the decreased MPGs and potential higher maintenance costs that come with it! Or they can't afford a 4x4 but want people with untrained eyes to think they have one...

    GM SUVs with 4WD are virtually impossible to discern from 2WD models from 2000 onward. The GMT-400 platform (1988-2000 for the trucks, 1992-1999 for the SUVs; 2000 for the Tahoe) was the last generation where it was easy to tell 2WD from 4WD. 2WD 1500 models have 5-lug patterns while 4WD 1500 models have 6-lugs. The 2WDs are also noticeably lower than the 4x4s. 2WD 2500 models are lower to the ground than the 4x4s but have the same 8-lug pattern...

    Those trucks pictured above in question were part of my group at Carlisle. The white one is a 4x4 4.6l Sr, the blue one is my old truck and is now owned by a good friend of mine. It's a 4x4 sr5 5.7, I had taken off the 4x4 badges and Sr5 badges.

    Pennsilvertaco, you go to Carlisle every year?
