Have had PC on my 2018 Platinum for about 6 months or so. Easy install, no issues, and enjoy driving it on Sport (the popular City +2 setting has too much tip in for me). Totally transforms the truck, and enjoy the much improved input and throttle response.

My only issue, if you want to call it that, is that I have found I have to turn it off in the winter time with all of our snow / ice up here in Alaska unless I want to drive in 4wd all the time. Having the more gentle tip in from the stock throttle input works much better with the traction control.

I would contact PC and let them know about it. They should be interested in any issues, should want to test it. I would request to send it in for testing.
    Good Luck!

Installed mine about 2 weeks ago and found the sweet spot for me . Normal driving and towing is city +2. Also with the Bluetooth I found a sweet spot to hide it. Upfront stuffed behind the massive console.

That is my plan. I am reaching out to them to see how to handle this. I loved their product until this happened.

When I inquired about the "what if unit failed", I was told that it would turn off essentially bypassing the unit. When the unit is off it should be back to factory pedal.

I’ve had mine on for months, been in Sport +1 since I installed it. Have to feather the throttle now winter is here (Alberta, Canada) but I wouldn’t go without one now

Would think a question for P.C. to be certain.

I ha sprint booster. The same concept as PC. It just amplifies the signal. No issues other than mpg. City+2 is perfect. Truck feels light

Is there another product out there that is simpler and less expensive than the pedal commander? I just want to basically get the tow haul pedal response without having to press tow haul all the time and I don’t want to pay 300 usd for it.

Heard about the PC today from my buddy with a new Tacoma...I knew I'd find good info here so I spent the last 30 min scanning all the posts. Bottom line - seems like it adds some hot sauce to your pedal/acceleration by reducing the lag.

Man my 2011 Camry pedal SUCKED - the car literally didn't move for the first inch stepping down on the pedal. I HATED it. This would have been amazing. On my '18 Tundra I haven't been as bothered - but probably because I drive it like a grandma intentionally. I am only 2 months into the Tundra and after the Camry at 30 mpg I'm still in a bit of shock at 12 mpg around town. This PC sounds dang fun though. Never tried tow/haul yet but will try later today! As for the PC, I just can't do it yet until I'm comfortable going down to ~10 mpg which I assume it will do...

Turn off all the nannies, and then put it into tow/haul mode. Smiles a plenty...

I have an 07 Tundra. Response to me is good but with all the mods I did, gas mileage has taken down a lot. Do you recommend this PC for 07 Tundra? I don't know much about it and just now starting to read about it. TIA

Was looking into this to improve the MPG. The pedal response on mine is pretty good so was just checking if getting it would actually help the fuel efficiency or not.

Ever look at iDrive? Pretty sweet and half of the size. I have it on the 4R and it’s awesome!

No, it just removes the slow throttle response.

Can this be a solution to power loss with 35s?

No. The PC just cleans up throttle response and adjusts shift points. It's not a true tuning tool.

    No mods yet
It will make it quicker off the line. So yes it’ll eliminate some of the sluggish response from the larger tires

I think I have the opposite need than most but wondering if the Pedal Commander might work for us.

Our 2012 Tundra limited 5.7L has what I call a digital acceleration now. When we are stopped and then enter into traffic, our truck tends to jerk, there is nothing smooth about its launch and it's pretty annoying to us. We make a game out of it, who can keep the chapstick in the dash console. Without specifically trying, and sometimes when trying to launch smoothly anything in the console falls out. We definitly are not in tow mode either.

I am wondering if this PC could be used to improve the acceleration curve without robbing the power. For example, would city "mode" with a low "fine-tune setting" create a smoother acceleration curve? I don't necessarily want to immensely slow things down, I want a smoother curve so the truck doesn't jerk when launching from a stop.

    Thoughts or related experiences?

City amplifies the baseline (stock setting) as you see in this chart, IMO it will make things worse even at the lowest -4 setting:
ECO mode may work for you but many find it too muted.

I love mine and would recommend them to anyone. We're going to put on my wife's tahoe when we pick it up from the dealership in a few weeks.
