My RCI sliders are finally in, so I have an appointment with them coming up. I'm tempted to buy one while I'm there. How much was it?

I paid $299, but if you order directly from the pedal commander website they have $30 off making it $269 with discount code: LABOR30

I have found that I prefer Sport+1 over City. City feels a bit too sharp a lead in, where Sport feels like a softer lead in that builds faster.

For anyone wondering, I have them on both my Toyota’s (see sig), and can easily switch between the two via the app under my single profile.

Installed the pedal commander this morning. Literally a two minute mod. Only took a short drive to the store but put it on sport mode out the gate. All I can say is wow! Responsive smooth throttle response. Bumped it up to sport +1 and think I'll leave it there for a while. So far I can say it's worth the cost and especially if you grab it for only 249 right now.

I'm back on the fence. I spent about six hours towing the trailer this weekend and now I don't want to mess with a good thing.

Granted, I could just turn the PC off when we go camping. But, I could also just push the tow/haul button when I'm not towing and spend my $250 on something else.

Totally. I've been doing it for a while and the end result is I don't buy one until another thread comes up. If it was cheaper, I would already have one.

It's a YouTube follow up video: "Towing with my Pedal Commander." Try it your way and then turn it off and use tow/haul. I bet it shifts better with tow/haul and the PC off.

Yeah I can definitely make a follow up video, I’m hoping to get my boat out at some point this week so maybe I’ll do the follow up this weekend… I’ve already used the tow/haul button with the PC on just for fun…feels like you get the best of both worlds but I’ll see how it feels when towing and update the channel!

I towed my camp trailer this weekend up to 8,000 ft and used tow/haul with the pedal commander still on city-1 while on the pavement. Tow/haul still functions perfectly, just as it does without the PC.

I know it's easy to speculate about how the pedal commander works, but as I said in my original post in this thread, you just have to experience it. I recommend borrowing one or something.

Put mine in yesterday, hardest part was getting the backing off the Velcro ! My truck is 10x more responsive and fun to drive, DEFINETLY worth the money!!! Spent the day in City +2, going to fiddle with other modes when the wife isn't with me..:burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber:

I got one too. I've got mine at City -2 or -1.

I installed it correctly per the instructions but later coiled the cable around a brace under firewall portion and velcro'd it to a vertical metal rod on that same firewall. The truck wouldn't start for over an hour after this! I had to keep the remote at a 35 foot distance but I think the issue is:

    • I should have kept the remote at a distance while coiling / mounting this controller
    • I may have hit something on my brake pedal area which I believe prevented a full depress of it when starting
    • I toggled the shift lever while it wouldn't start by trying to move it from park, to neutral and back to park
... after those steps, we started and I'm back off to enjoying this more fluid acceleration.

I still need to look at mine regarding the Bluetooth connectivity. I wasn't able to get mine connected to the app, but didn't really spend much time troubleshooting yet. Anyone run into issues?

No issues, just make sure the PC is on and you’re running the PC phone app. It’ll find it and you just need to be able to input your Serial number on the back of the unit. Easy Peasy

I'll give it another try. After I entered the serial number it's like it didn't pair or take it for some reason. I ran the module up to the shifter area until I figure out a discreet spot for it, so I've been just changing modes manually, but think sport plus 1 is the sweet spot for me. I'll have to give it another go when I've got some time.
