Thanks!! I'm looking forward to it and the upgrade to the 5.7. This is my 13 that I'm about to strip.

I wish I didn't just read all these great comments. The next 24 hours are going to go by painfully slow waiting on FedEx to show up. :playball:

Thank you Patrick for the video, I am now salivating over this thing and well labor day is coming up so I hope there is a sale of some kind?

After driving a tuned 3/4 ton diesel for 13 years, I miss that instant get up and go that I had, would you equate City +4 to that type of go-go?? Remove when going to dealer for warranty work?

Thanks all for the input, very intriguing ! !!!!!

I'm going to get one. I'm convinced I need one now, although I did poo poo it the last two years. I had the same argument - why not just use tow/haul?

Now that pushing the button has become a huge inconvenience, I'll sign up for better shifting and probably even dial it back one notch from tow/haul. Set it and forget it. That's fun.

Good thread and video, OP. I'm convinced with the Hoonigan coupon code.

Which setting would be similar to stock if you were to guess? Like City 1? Just try to get a gauge of how much up and down adjustability is there in either direction.

You can turn it off from the controller and/or the app.
There is a bunch of info on here and back/forth between these and just using the tow/haul button. The pedal commander doesn't have ANYTHING to do with your shift points and or rev range, it just adjusts throttle sensitivity / input. It doesnt adjust fuel trims like other tunes/programmers but it does "fix" the spongy pedal/lag, especially if you're lifted.

I'm happy with mine but I can't use it in anything other than city1. Anything else is just way too touchy and I'm on 37's. Coming from a silverado that's also fly-by-wire the PC makes is feel like it should imo. Drive it and play with it, settle on something manageable, then drive it more and then turn it off and try it, you'll see that it's nothing like the tow/haul button.

Side* anyone else with one that has had issues with any modes? Mine does not like city 2.

I was having issues with that setting as well I believe. It seems to be surging at times when I was not adjusting to throttle at all. I found I like it best for daily driving on sport -1. Seems to have good smooth response there with no surging. Then when you want to play, switch it up to Sport+

Good to know - thanks. I was almost worried when it first started messing up but its been months since I've even changed it with zero issues. I got mine used for real cheap - well worth it.

I've had a PC on my 1st Gen for over a year. The smooth acceleration it provides is worth every penny. No lag, just clean straight power. I recently took it off for a day to compare with how it runs stock. Wow! I forgot. And I always thought my truck ran well. This just ups the performance. No more horsepower, no better mileage. But no more acceleration lag.

So if you're towing a trailer, does it make sense to turn it off and use tow/haul?

No prob, thanks for watching!!...and yepper, if you really wanna feel the “get up and go”, throw it in sport or sport +!....it’s crazy responsive, you actually have to be careful you don’t push the gas too hard or you’re gonna spin em...haha
And as for the warranty work, I’m honestly not sure, I have heard people say it won’t void any kind of warranty but it’s so easy to take off and put on I’ll just remove it if I ever have to take the truck in!...hope that helps!

Thanks for watching!...and yea you won’t regret it, the ability to fine tune it is on a whole other level than just using the tow/haul by itself....have fun!

I would say just straight city would be comparable, but even that’s slightly more responsive...maybe city -1 or city -2 would be a better bet to compare to stock, hope that helps!

You can definitely do that, but honestly I would just keep it on and use tow/haul with it...play with it and see how ya feel, I’m still messing with it just to feel the differences in throttle response!...lol

Yes...tow/haul is there for the gearing hold when towing.

It will not void the warranty. It does not leave a footprint.

Yea I wasn’t sure about warranty if they see it on there but if you remove it they’ll never know it was even there....and it comes off so easily it’s worth it to just remove it and avoid any headaches or “questions” from the dealer

Nice video. I appreciate the Pedal Commander in taking out the lag with the 37's. It does it in a way that let's you choose how aggressive you want throttle response to be as opposed to the Tow/Haul button and as someone else stated Tow/Haul draws out the shifts. My thought is I'm just abusing the drivetrain more with Commander as I shock it with bigger throttle inputs to overcome the big tires and gear mismatch I have now and really need and plan to regear. Pedal Commander can't give me back TC direct drive in the higher gears again. I still think the Pedal Commander will likely keep it's place post regear though :) TBD...
