On 2006: replaced OE shocks with off road Blistein which also allowed me to level the front. OE hubs but running larger Toyo off-road tires. 2019 1794 edition - purchased 1/28/23. Hope all goes well as the 06.
I have been looking an installing the pedal commander on my 2019 Tundra. Several YouTube videos later, I wanted to get input from this forum. Pros and cons. Thanks

Use the search bar for threads with titles. Looks for "pedal commander" and/or "throttle controller". Topic is covered extensively already so you can benefit from existing information.

    Good luck to you

Get a Pedal Monster instead unless you want an ECO/Offroad mode, in that case get a HikeIt. The Bluetooth version of Pedal Commander can be problematic and trigger limp mode. Don't expect much from ECO mode it is more useful for a muted throttle than gas savings.

Someone a while back had the throttle not respond midway pulling onto the highway which led to someone else getting hit trying to avoid a collision. Basically, he hit the gas and the truck moved and then the throttle died. There's a video from the Banks performance guy that probably explains what happened and why their product is allegedly superior. It all came down to the voltage supplied to the module and if too many things pulled voltage at the wrong time, it killed the signal to the pedal commander which took out throttle control. The banks module connected through the ECU port so it had a dedicated power supply instead of tapping off an existing source. I wouldn't trust it having had electronic throttle bottle issues almost cause me to get T-boned pulled out.

I have it on my 2019, zero complaints though once I found a setting I like I've never changed it

The Pedal Commander is not recommended. There has been some failures and it also has no fail safe at all.

Lots of people are switching to Banks, but I still love my PC after more than 3 years of usage. Piece of advice...do NOT change modes while in gear. Only do it when in park. Some people have reported the PC causing the truck to go into "limp" mode; only time that ever happened with mine is when I changed modes in gear. When that happened, I disconnected the battery for a few minutes, reconnected, no limp mode, and after that I started only changing modes in park...no issues since. Also, the Eco mode on the PC trims back your throttle response, so I have found it very helpful in situations where I need limited throttle input offroading.

I have one on my 4R and Tundra...

The Tundra is quite a bit more jumpy than the 4R and takes some getting used to. Likely doesn't help that I keep it on Sport +2.
Other than that I've never have any problems with either (nor has anyone else I personally know with one).

That being said I do plan to step up to the Banks PM and will be selling the PC for $100 if interested.

Same here but it was entirely too sensitive when I'd encounter bumps/irregular terrain.

I had the pedal commander…..never changed the settings since initial install. Two years later my truck went into limp mode while trying to merge in the highway. Could have been bad. Got home and disconnected, cleared the code it causes and reinstalled. Two days later went back into limp mode. Disconnected it and gave it to a member here. Got the pedal monster and haven’t regretted it one bit. I don’t trust the pedal commander after my experience but ymmv

I’ve sold literally thousands of pedal commanders. Not one single issue.

there’s definitely an issue with some who have used it; I am glad you haven’t had any issues on the ones you’ve sold but doesn’t take away from the fact that there have been quite a few trucks put into limp mode using the product

You’re right. It doesn’t take away from the trucks whom have had issues. Never said it did. Nor did I intend anything directed at you. Just stating a fact. Hope that helps clarify things for you.
