If you like Hall & Oates or James Taylor style of music - you'll really like Pantera

Actually, I love H&O but not a JT fan.

I enjoy Hall & Oates as well. I like about two songs from James Taylor haha. I like pretty much everything besides Rap/Hip-Hop. Just not my thang.

The only rap/hip hop I can stand is the older stuff I grew up with (90s-2000ish). Bobby Brown is a guilty pleasure of mine.

I like Dre's "The Chronic 2001", Kid Cudi's "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" and probably a handful of other songs from other various artists. Tone-Loc was alright haha

I got totally burned out from the rock concerts of the 60s, 70s and early 80s I attended. Living in the SF Bay Area saw a lot of top bands and groups of the time (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Quicksilver, Deep Purple, Chuck Berry twice, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jefferson Airplane, Steve Miller, Doobie Brothers, Joe Walsh, etc., etc., etc.

It's lucky that I can hear anything today (but my hearing is actually okay at my age of 73). I just turned around and walked away from it all. I don't listen to any music today, just my thing. My three adult kids (early 30s) ONLY listen to classic rock, the music I grew up with. They are extremely jealous that I saw most of what they listen to live. Best concert on Planet Earth for me was the Who at San Francisco Civic Auditorium. We had great seats and it was totally amazing (I hid 1/2 pints of brandy in my tall cowboy boots that escaped detection).

First "Day on The Green" at Oakland Coliseum was pretty good too. Could NOT bring ANY liquor on site but could bring coolers with food. I wrapped up a 12 pack of beer, each can in aluminum foil to look like fried chicken and buried them in ice. Worked perfectly except I thought I was going to get hijacked by other concert goers when I popped the tab on ice cold beer.

That was then, this is now...

Got a shirt, was too focused on watching the show, my first time seeing them, like Phil asked "Who's first time is it watching Pantera?" I screamed my ass off!!! I didn't wanna be like everyone else watching through the phone, I was taking it all in, it freaking awesome!!! I was surprised about Cemetery Gates not being played entirely, what did you think of Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante ???

I got tix for this coming Friday and Sunday for the no repeat weekend. I’m getting more and more pumped for this show. It will be my first time seeing both Pantera and Metallica. I was a huge Pantera fan more than Metallica. What did you think of Wylde and Benante?

Dude they nailed it. Benante is a madman on them drums. Zakk, well, let's just say zero disappointment and none was expected. The guy is the best pick to do that gig.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger if Phil asks all the newbies to raise their hands - you'll find there's more ppl who are first timers than repeaters
