Hey guys I know I have some requests to get back to. Going to do my best on those but want to let everyone know I’m going to be slow on responses today. I’m working off site today and will be pulling a trailer in the snow a majority of the day today.

I believe he said fabrication to wrap up by end of February and sending to coatings then.

Is this deal still going on? I'm interested in the type 4 kickout powder coated. How much will that coat?

I’m finally installing mine after a year of sitting in the garage. Can someone tell me or show me how the bracket around the tank works before I get under there and get puzzled lol

You should have a a back plate with a handle and a nut welded to it. That one is for the tank area.

Remove the factory plastic fuel tank skid (skid only not the tank) and it will slip between the frame and the tank. Manipulate the handle to guide the back plate into place, insert the bolt through the slider bracket and the frame, thread into the nut that’s welded to the backing plate.

Also. What do you recommend torquing down to?

I notice on the passenger side the mounting point hangs below the frame at the back. This normal? It started pouring on me right at the end so I couldn’t go try to see if there was room for adjustment.

Overall happy, cant believe I waited a year to put these on. Now rain needs to go away so I can knock out driver side tomorrow

That looks at the extreme low end, but yes that last bracket will be slightly proud of the frame.

Is this thread going to be used for round 2 to track number of deposits and such? Same deposit link and discount thresholds?

If bank on closer to 3 before they are back from powder, sorted, packed and ready to ship. Still a lot of parts to make then weld. And it's a lot of big parts to hang and get coated. I'll be talking with the powder coater shortly to find out if they want them all at once or staging them as they are finished and see what he thinks would be quicker turn around and a better way to run them on their end.

I can do whatever works better. I have a list of those who have expressed interest so far saved offline. I'll update this thread with it later today when I get to a computer.

    Thanks guys.

    Back to work.

How many people are getting the liner compared to the power coating? Is the liner going to be any easier to apply?

I would have to look that up. Easier. No. Is an additional coating and is messy as hell.
