Hi @mac11 , noticed you haven't been on this site for a few weeks now, hope all is well?! We're just a bit curious for some updates if you could let us know how it's going, any new hold ups or issues?

My terminal never called me. Just check your tracking then call them to confirm it’s there.

This is what I ended up doing since that bracket never showed up. Just cut it myself.

I got it from Amazon, although after a quick search I don’t see an option for your 3rd gen truck.

Powder coat have been shipped. Just waiting on the monster liner to come back. I apologize for the lack of coms the last couple weeks. Worked 18+ hour days 2 weeks ago to be ready to work remote out of the shop last week. Being only 1 of 2 no one sits at a computer as that doesn't get work done.

My list shows I owe 5 monster lined sliders and 1 bare steel slider that we're waiting on the owner to decide his top plate types.

Can you verify that I am on that list for coated sliders? The main page still isn't updated, and I haven't heard anything since we spoke at the time of order....

I ordered about 4 weeks ago and Mac messaged me saying he was going to start the third run this week. I’m sure when time allows he will update here.
He’s a busy man. You can try to PM him although it was at least a week before I got a response. No biggy, he was very honest when I ordered and let me know it would be quite a while before they shipped. For me the discount is well worth the wait. Hope this helps!!

Yes you are on the list. Please try to understand that you are not the only one PM'ing and emailing. I'm getting on average of 100+ PM's, emails, facebook messages every day. I'm also the one doing all the cad drawing, running the CNC to make the components to send over to the welder, doing the books, ordering the material, hardware, arranging and boxing freight, scheduling and planning work. Answering 100 questions about "where is my stuff" only makes the stuff take longer to make. I'm sorry about that but it's the reality.

When I'm in a time pinch I always to the work first. Because the work getting finished answers the questions but answering the questions doesn't get the work done.

Everything on this list is at powder coat. I continue to be noncommittal about when they are going to ship because my finish/pickup date has been moved 3 times now. I can't commit to a date until I have parts in hand and am back in control of the process. I can work 20 hours/day at this point and it wont get sliders done any more quickly because this is one process I'm just out of control of. I don't have the space to setup a proper powder coat shop to take it over and all my local powder coaters are swampped with work as I'm adjacent to the many large industries like RV industry, Explorer Vans, agricultural manufacturing like chore time brock. I'm a very small client even with 30 pairs of sliders. These other guys are bringing thousands of parts monthly every month so they get priority. Until I can do that it is what it is. I can promise you having to live with that 365 makes me more frustrated than anything or anyone else.

I understand man, I do, and thank you for working so hard. That being said, I'd rather the sliders take 14 weeks with some communication vs. shorter but none. Just my 0.02.

either way, thanks for the update man, it's appreciated.

I would rather they take longer too but I have to get them done before payroll, rent, lights, materials and supplies, freight, etc rip through my bank account and I can't afford to pay payroll. Then we close and no one gets anything. Its a balancing act to get everything done in the time thats been paid for. We've given up ~$200+ revenue per pair of sliders X 40 for this group buy and spent more on shipping supplies and freight chargers per order than ever before. I don't have a whole lot of spare money to devote many extra weeks to things. I hope I don't sound too confrontational in that, I'm really not. I'm just trying to lay out where we're at.

I've also got to balance non-group buy orders into our schedule as much as we can. I've got a whole group of people who have paid full price for other orders that I'm stretching lead times out on as we devote large chunks to knock out big runs for this group buy. Like I said, it's balancing a lot of things. I may not be doing it perfectly but I'm doing my best.

My other option is to raise prices/not do sales and hire a person who's primary function is to sit at a desk all day and take care of these types of communications so I can stay in the shop pushing product development and manufacturing forward. I'm throwing this out there as a legitimate option because maybe we are at the point that we need it. But that person has to be paid for. Our current revenue level does not afford us the extra money on a monthly basis to hire this person. Some months yes, some months no.

I would have to make more money and/or make more sales. The other side of the coin is I will ALWAYS have to make more sales to keep up this new level of payroll. This is why we have not done that. Increasing the monthly nut is something I try to avoid if possible. Makes for a higher floor, so to speak. Makes it so my revenue has to go up and stay up. And makes the consequences of the revenue dipping come on more quickly and more devastating. It also makes it so I would have a much harder time cutting prices down for sales and group buys because of the above.

If the customer base is there to support it we'll do it.

While we're here and being honest and full disclosure, that whole idea of raising my monthly costs is what I'm afraid of as that is one of the things that doomed Pelfry. They took on a lot of monthly bills and couldn't keep up the revenue to support everything. There were other circumstances, I understand. But It's just that which I'm trying to avoid.

    2018 Tundra SR5
Got mine installed today. Took maybe 2 hours by myself and a floor jack. They are heavy as shit but very stout! I had no issues with my install but I have small hands. I have the 38 gallon tank and removing the tank skid helped.
