I’ve been waiting 2+ months and also wonder if I my logs was send properly. I messaged zendesk and still didn’t get a response. Waiting is not a problem since the features I asked for is not yet available .Not knowing whether the logs were sent properly or got lost is the shuffle is a bit tough.

For all the guys here not on tacomaworld, the major Tacoma release (that’s been sucking up a ton of his time) is rolling out starting this weekend through the next couple weeks. Once that’s done I’m sure the tundra will pick up.

What he has accomplished with the Tacoma is incredible and I have no doubt the tundra tunes will be great as well.

Just hang tight, it’ll be worth it.

@OVTune Heres a little video to balance out all the sht I been giving you about cs haha Overall I'm very happy. I need to data log, but Ill patiently wait for your new updates before I send them.

This is my first a full throttle pull after installing headers and the new base tune (91 octane, 6k redline, headers, 37s/4:88s). My truck weighs 8000lbs and this is slightly uphill. I rolled into the throttle in first gear. I wasnt concerned about trying to set a 0-60 record, I was more interested in feeling how smooth the power delivery was and I was watching my AFR's; they stayed mid 14s the whole time. I can definitely feel a power increase over my old setup:

Is a fair question and has been answered elsewhere in this thread. The answer to your question is it depends...what are your long term goals with the truck? Do you plan to build the bottom end of the motor? I will answer here based upon a stock internal engine with mild to full bolt on's.

Both platforms will perform similar when simply installed and tuned. The Magnuson is a long proven design and is a very complete kit with detailed instructions. The Harrop is a newer platform and the overall kit, instructions and durability of the kit are all still being worked out somewhat. Either kit installed bring the engine up to what many consider is the safest maximum balance between power and long term reliability. The biggest difference between the two is that there is more room to grow and make additional power with the Harrop. The Harrop is a 2.65L supercharger. The Magnuson is a 1.9L Supercharger. The Harrop can move the same amount of air(Cubic Feet)while spinning the S/C at a slower rpm. This is largely irrelevant in as installed stock form. However if you desire more power and start installing smaller pullies to spin the S/C faster the Harrop should generate less heat moving the same volume of air at a lower rpm/psi. The .75L difference between the S/C's means the Harrop is 28% more efficient at any given rpm. This in turn means that the Harrop should be able to make roughly the same power at 5psi as the Magnuson does at 7psi.

If all you plan to do is full bolt on's either is a great choice. If you intend to build the internals of the engine...the Harrop will give you more room to grow.

For me, if I was to S/C the truck again today I would still choose the Magnuson as I have no want or need to additional power. The kit is complete down to a tube of white grease and zip ties needed. Mine has given me 3 years of reliability so far.

my Sequoia has been S/C since ~ 2010, that's 10 years and the power is every bit as good today as it was when first installed. 100% reliable as far as the charger itself is concerned.

my engine and transmission were both replaced in 2018(at different times), cracked head which i think was caused by me running bully dog 95 tune with a bad tank of gas and not letting off when i heard the rattling & detonation. Tranny, i think died from full power 4wd launches trying to get under 5s 0-60. Got close! but all caused by me :anonymous:

take away: i'd stick with Magnuson. haven't seen a 5.7 Harrop S/C dyno that shows significant enough improvement over this one to justify it

I have received all of the logs from you guys, including logs sent to my gmail (if the file size is too big).

In regards to Harrop vs Magnuson, My opinion right now is hold off on a Harrop until they can figure out exactly all the superchargers that have this coolant leaking problem.
Because it leaks into the engine, which could be catastrophic.

A truck has documented that the Harrop on the biggest / base pulley is *barely* better than a magnuson.
Only when going to smaller pulleys does the Harrop actually wake up.

Thanks everyone for the replies. If I decide to jump on it, then I'll go the Magnusson route. I have no desire to tear into the bottom end of my truck, but rather think that power efficiency can be increased, all while having fun. I have a 2002 Jetta TDI that I plan to build up more and beat on as my fun car, but also have a 28ft travel trailer that I tow with the Tundra. Here in two months I'll be towing from Fort Lauderdale to North Carolina as I retire from the Coast Guard.

Thanks again for all the information.

Alrighty guys, some good news and better news.

    1. We have finished up the first half of our release for the Tacoma, which has always been the bulk of our time. The AT will take us more time, but don't worry about that.
    2. This week is primarily Tundra week for me.
    3. Gearlock disabling in Tow / Haul mode with S-Mode patch has been fixed (no this is NOT ready for release yet, I just fixed the code)
    4. Flex Fuel Tundras that are supercharged and get throttle limp mode, I have been testing on our truck for the last 15-16 days since it's been super cold here, and believe I've got it solved now

Yep once we get/got those two issues solved (1 solved, 1 working on) everything is done.

last thing left is flex fuel cold start / cold drive problem.

new version of our S-Mode code has the tow haul button issue fixed.
had to cut out all of our code, but we have added the tow haul section to it.
As always, this code is exclusive to us. Hand wrote this code in assembly
