Drove to work with the 91 tune (highest octane gas we get). Felt good, sent logs which the cable the dongle came with was fine with.

Looks like I get to partake in the fuel pump recall. Guess we'll see what they replace and if theres a new ECU calibration.

Will you need to go back to stock before taking your truck in?

PITA, I suppose that after a few you get into a rhythm though, like doing the Cam Tower Leak repair.

@OVTune Whats the status or timeline looking like for Flex Fuel e85 tunes? Are they pushed back from prior beginning of year completion?

    @OVTune
You've asked me to send you my logs, but you reply that you haven't been getting the attachments on your end. I've tried again via offered alternate email address, (even sent log via DM attachment last week) but don't know if that has worked. I didn't want to bugger the Zendesk queue (#4706), so I thought I'd query here as I haven't heard if either of those attempts were successful. Thank you!

@OVTune Order#5221 I am in same boat resent logs for the 3rd time to your gmail and zendesk this time as you requested. Sick of burning fuel on this base tune and no torque convertor lockup with gearlock. Got 9.5 MPG yesterday towing 2500 lb low drag trailer. Prior stock was 10.5-12.5 depending on wind, season, temps, etc... Still waiting for an email reply on what my base tune includes feature wise. Maybe torque convertor lock up with gl doesnt work on base tune. Be nice to know!

@OVTune I'm seeing improvement in MPGs this week with just base tune. 13mpg average today, before was always 10mpg no matter how I drove.
I'll do some logging this weekend for first round of optimization

Probably because you had prior rich bully dog tune for your S/C? Stock I have bad milage on base, and seams others have reported similar for base tune. Glad to hear you have the tune and its working well for you!

Both the BD tune and the Toyota TRD SC tune yielded similar shitty gas mileage.

As far as power, I don't feel any difference and I'm not sure if I have gearlock in S mode and when I press tow haul, I have no idea if this is a different map but I do notice a difference in transmission downshifting sooner with tow haul on vs off.

Be really nice if in every tune sent there is a list of what features our tune has. For the info and for safety I don’t understand why it’s not included. I am still in the dark with no info on what my base tune has what buttons do what etc!!! Using gearlock for the first time almost resulted in a crash for me... had no power getting into traffic after a slow acceleration was in d stuck in 6th gear and assumed it only worked in s mode!!!

5325 too. I resent my log yesterday. (7mb seems like a pretty low limit) My file was a 12 or so minute drive 11 miles from home to work.

How far/long should the log be?

From memory. Idle a couple of minutes, 2 full pulls and then some casual driving. Break up into 3 files. That should do it.

My base tune is rich, lost mpg compared to stock, Seem power is lost at top end also but, better throttle response, more Lively and enjoyable to drive in low and mid range. Gearlock only tow/haul mode and very useful on highway cruising.

If any of you have gear lock coming unlocked or not locking the torque converter, like my truck is doing, Mat did reply to me saying that it would be addressed when direct shift and gearlock being tied to s mode is available for my ECU. So it sounds to me its something he knows is an issue. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

He just said Zendesk restricted sub 7mb files & mine was 7, gave me a different email address to send it to.

Maybe... I've had several revisions and each time I send a start up, a few minutes driving around normally, one hard pull in 4th and a wot from a stop.
He seems to be able to get what he needs from these.

Hmmm, I haven't paid attention to what size mine are, but when I do a log I start and stop on each specific category of driving. I don't hit record and leave it recording through each driving task.

I didn't see any instructions so figured an 11 mile drive with red lights & a few patches of open stretches of WOT would be good.

I'll do it differently next time if asked to.

I swear that he told me 10MB was the max.

I made one that was kinda long because I find it difficult to try to find somewhere safe to pull over to start/stop the logging. I guess I don't multitask very well. :tinfoilhat:
