FWIW, after work this afternoon I'm off for the next 8 days if you want to conduct some trial and error/experiments.

It is what it is. Guess I'm one of the unlucky ones.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'd like to give you guys an update on what we are going to do. Because I honestly don't know why it is not working on certain ECUs.

    1. We are going to make a list of all known ECUs that the features are working without issue.
    2. If your ECU is on this list and you received your features / tunes, great. Your tune is complete and you shouldn't need further updates.
3 If your ECU is not on this list, but you are waiting for an update, we are going to make any necessary updates to your tune that you need, and then finalize it.

Then, we will continue testing in the back ground with anyone with an ECU version that the features are not working properly on, to correct it and make it functional.
After we have verified that, we will prepare new versions of your completed tune with those features.
I'm not really sure what else to do, the code is literally identical and does not work from one ECU to another. Truly I am trying to figure out why but it just doesn't make sense.
If you purchased the flash kit specifically for S mode Gear lock or Direct Shift features and it is not functioning on your ECU, please email me and we can discuss testing further on your ECU, compensation, etc.
We are not giving up, we just don't want to keep some people in limbo. If it currently isn't working on your ECU, lets finish any other things needed and finalize your tune, then revisit the features later.

Okie dokie. This makes sense and is reasonable in my mind. We'll check out the list when it's released and go from there.

    Mat,

if my ECU version(YWL50) is one that is giving you issues with gearlock and DS, can i just get an interim update from the logs i sent you back in January? order #5058. i know the stock supercharged tune is conservative/safe and would love to get that dialed in as far as timing and fuel trims, etc, then we can start incorporating those other features once the bugs are worked out. I know there's more power to be had!

    thanks in advance

    John

Anyone running the 91/93 octane tune notice any power gains?

That sounds about as much fun as getting poked in the eye with a sharp stick.

Friday I will have confirmation of all working ECUs.
    All ECUs under investigation/testing
And we can update any existing tunes needing updated, regardless of ECU ID

    Yeah that sucks.
We paid $16k in fed tax this year and still owed another $3800 on our individual return.
    That is a crime.

I cant imagine what small businesses have to pay.

Okay here are where we are at.
    confirmed working ECUs:
    0C604
    0CJ20
    0CL42
    0CL43
    0CL44
    0CM21
    0CM22
    0CM51
    0CN21

    under investigation / limited working
    0CJ63
    0CJ64
    0CK06
    0CD33
    0CN61
    0CP50
    0CN71

    Currently not working
    YWFxx (all)
    YWLxx (all)

as of right now it's a mixed bag on ECUs. So from this point we are just going to finalize any outstanding tunes with everything else we can do and fix this stuff in the back ground.
That way no one is waiting around for any other updates.

If we've sent in any logs in the past three months or so, would you like for us to touch base with you via Zendesk to determine whether there might still be updates/adjustments/misc.?

So this is a very novice question for this thread I apologize, just now exploring the vast world of tuning options.

How do you know your ECU version? Is it in tuning file or is there a physical location on the vehicle you can find it?

I have not even had the chance yet to start on this ECU or any of the other new flex fuel ECUs that toyota put out.

The goal today is to update as many files as possible. You will be notified in the email that it will be the final file, with no more updates expected.
The purpose is so we can get everyone done. Nobody still waiting, and focus on what is causing it directly without having to worry about someone waiting, unhappy, etc.
