It does make it cleaner. First, if you even changed oil on a windy day.... well that gets 75% oil in the oil drain pan and the rest will be on the floor or something else... happens with wind gusts and near the end when its the thinnest oil that takes 20 minutes to wrap up. Keep that ratchet and socket nearby to get a nice coaling of fresh oil to wipe off. They'll look like new.

Put a hose on it in and a hurricaine wont get it to splatter all over.

Secondly, if you have a plate protecting it like my RCI. There's a hole in the plate under the oil drain. When draining oil its guaranteed to get to the underside of the plate.
Enough extra oil and its drip itself down your driveway making a nice new oily mess. I dont speak from experience.

Again, using a clear hose on it.... No mess.

The only problem with the Fumoto is it takes an absurd amount of time to drain especially when its cold like 30-45 minutes, otherwise this is your best bet.

Thats very true. Cold oil drains slow. But one of the primary benefits is to get that oil circulated nice and hot so more things are in suspension then drain.

true it does drain slow. I just start the drain process first and take my time with the rest. As noted the best part is no mess and not having to remove and retorque the pan bolt every time, and you can get the oil up to operating temp for draining and not burn the shit out of yourself draining it.
