Be happy. You probably would have found me squatting in your garage (not pooping, that'd been in your neighbors yard... I'm like a cat. I don't shit where I eat or sleep).

Hey Toasty - do you have any idea where I can locate a plastic 8x10 (6x8 internal opening) ceiling/wall register? I can only find them in metal.

    What’s your beef with metal?
Not sure if I’ve ever seen a abundance of plastic ones for sale in my travels.

My upstairs jack and Jill bath vent sweats. There's a small space above it where the bath fan vents into and I was hoping to fix it earlier this year but the roof drops down more than I had hoped and I'd have to cut into the soffit to fix it. The soffit is made out of really old and thick shiplap. Someday when we get the roof replaced, I'll vent the bathroom fan correctly.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's just the vent sweating because of the temp/humidity differences when the AC kicks on. There's a bedroom on each side and only one of the two vents in the different bedroom also sweats. My plan is to replace the two sweating registers with plastic and pray that stops the issue. I was able to buy one of the registers in plastic but can't get the 8x10 one in anything but metal.

Our Master bath fan was venting into the attic and that vent used to sweat like a mother. I was able to vent it correctly and added a humidity sensing switch to that bathroom which seems to have stopped the sweating issue in there. Can't do it in the Jack & Jill because the switches are on the outside of the bath.

    Interesting predicament………
I’m not a 100% sure the plastic vent would solve your sweating issue; it’s definitely the difference of the cold air hitting the humid air, I assume the plastic vent would absorb the cold air like the metal does and sweat as well?
I’ll keep my eye out and let you know!

Yeah but the duct opening is that funky 6x8. I don't think the plastic will sweat like the metal does. I guess I'll find out. :(

I assumed @TaquitoBandito already mentioned that to her. Plus put yourself in her shoes. If some random dude on the internet tells your husband to tell you that a 3D printer can be used to print sex toys in a bid to convince you to allow said husband to buy a 3D printer, would you go for it?
