Actually, I maybe visit another vehicle forum once a month.

The best part is,...you will have your jap, boat puller for awhile, with low maintenance cost. Although my brothers Cummings has 500,000 and he still jumps in it, like it’s a new truck. DAMN YOU! ....old reliable technology! I have no reason to buy a big diesel though...Tacoma diesel...maybe.

Those are the kinds of guys who ruin a perfectly useful truck bed by putting a smokestack in the middle of it.

Please don't try to convert other truck brand buyers to Toyotas unless you're trying to sell yours. Doing that is like trying to teach pigs to sing. It's a waste of time, and it annoys the pigs.
But seriously, I would recomend anyone who is thinking of buying any vehicle at all, to check out
    https://www.carcomplaints.com/
And look up the make, model and year vehicle you think you might want to buy. I was looking at the Ford and Chevy pickups and was appalled at the lack of reliability in those trucks. The stuff that seems to happen to them is pretty serious too, things like blown engines and transmissions, rusted out brake lines etc. It doesn't seem to matter whether they're gas or diesel powered. The American trucks seem to have a very poor reputation.
I'm looking for a truck that can reliably tow a 7600# TT, and from all that I've read and seen on YT etc, the Fords and Chevy's can't be trusted. Also, I have some history with Toyota vehicles here in Oz, having owned 2 Hiluxes and a Rav. I had to put new front shocks on my latest Hilux that had 174,000 Miles on it when I bought it, and 2 new tires. That's it!

I've always been a Japanese car guy, Nissan and Toyota for the most part, because I had an eye for good engineering and for quality electronics..........and I did work on them all. All the domestics were just built with WTF engineering......solid steel though, last forever in the junk yard. Then the European over engineered electrical nightmares. NO THANKS. I live for the old Datsun's, part of the pre Nissan days. My #1 choice today is Toyota/Lexus. Nothing is perfect, especially these days, but I'd rather be part of the 99% perfect.
