Options for no chrome on my new Tundra

Finally about ready to upgrade my Tundra. I'm done w chrome. I can't justify buying a new Platinum....probably.

Option 1: Local dealer has 2014 Platinum that somehow only has 20k miles for 36k. Good deal??? I'm hesitant about the Platinum bc I live in Arizona and seems like the feedback on the ventilated seats is just ok.

Option 2: Buy a new or used SR5 and swap out the grille etc to match the color. My biggest concern is having the match look correct. I dont like the hood scoop on the Sport edition so thats not an option for me.

Do most dealers do stuff like this? I was thinking just buy an SR5 and see about swapping out the front end chrome parts.

 

I might be the one lost but I think he meant your response was kinda .... well lets say vanilla.

 

I couldn’t even get them to take the chrome steps off of mine.

Try to talk down the price on that platinum. You'll love it. Plus the 14 doesnt have all the new tss and radar issues that the new trucks have. The vented seats are fine for me, I'm in CT but it reaches 100° pretty often in the summer and between the ac and vented seats its tolerable in there.

 

If you're willing to do without the 38 gallon tank and are okay with either white, red, or black find a sr5 with the sx package. All color matched and black wheels!
