My eyes are getting worse and I am looking to finally change over to the red dot game. I have shot with them before and really like them. I know the Glock MOS is out there and various others. What’s a good that is optics ready or comes with one already?

I'd say go with the Glock and a Trijicon RMR unless you are not a Glock fan. You can also look at the Vortex sights. The Glock comes with different adapter plates to fit the optic of your choice. I recently bought a Gen 5 Glock 19 and now I want a 17 MOS for the house gun. If a brand dosen't come ready like the Glock then you'll have to have the slide milled but with the Glock you'll need supressor height sights to cowitniss.

Trijicon RMR is the highest rated red dot for pistols due to how rugged it is.

Leupold Delta Point Pro is a strong second.

Vortex makes a great one for the price point as does sig sauer.

Trijicon has the newer SRO which is a much bigger window than the RMR but it is not as rugged. Maybe more for range and competition shooting.

But for every day use and carry the RMR is the only answer.

The dot size you will want is up to you. I suggest going to a local place that has one you can physically look through. Some people like a smaller red dot. Others like a larger dot. Shooters choice when it comes to that.

I carry a gen 3 Glock but handles a sig 320 x carry and wow what a difference in frame. Also comes cut for an optic i think. Thought about trying that one

I have a laser in my guide rod for my XDM and it has never failed. It’s nice, I like using it when I don’t use my sights at the range. :)

All depends on what you want to spend. Trijicon rmr type 2 very good option for handguns but comes with a price tag. If I were you I would go to a gun shop and look at them. You want what works best for you and your eye sight when you see through them. You want to see day and night optics. I wouldn’t just get a red laser dot because it’s unless during the day. On my ar I have eotech on my top rail which sits perfectly above my scope with a green laser dot for quick firing close up at nighttime. You want something that’s not bulky too if carrying.

Not sure how much the optics ready glock is, but you can always send you slide to get it cut out for any optic u want, i had a vortex optic and the lens fell out with three different models, but there warranty policy is great so they just kept sending me a new one.

I’m a Glock guy so I went with the Glock MOS. I got a screaming deal on a Leupold Deltapoint pro so I chose that. It’s a great set up but does sit a little high for most irons to cowitness. I only have about 500 rounds through it so far but it’s been solid.

CZ P-01 is an amazing shooter, very reliable, and has a 1913 rail for accessories. I don't leave home without mine.

I'm not a Glock guy, nor a Trij guy. M&P Pro Core with Leopold.

I like the Co Witness feature.
