I looked at a f-150 before I bought my tundra, the salesman tried showing me the step in the lift gate and the thing broke and he couldn't get it out. All I could think of was built ford tough huh?

I got a call today. My parts are in and I'm scheduled for 8:45 am Friday. My new after market rear bumper showed up today too. I'm not 100% sure which bumper I'm gonna keep. If I can make the BSM work in the after market bumper, I'll probably keep it and sell the OEM one.

Took my truck to the dealership at 8:45 this morning. They left me sitting in my truck for 27 minutes before I finally got to speak to the service adviser. Then they called near the end of the day and told me they weren't finished and the end caps are not included. It's a bit disappointing that they need my truck all day to perform a 2 hr. job. On the bright side, today was also my last free oil change. So, barring any future recalls..... No More Dealer Appointments!

Well, it came with new pads on the top, the metal cap supports and a new center section but no end caps. It would have been nice to get end caps since I dragged one down the road by the sensor wires. But, I don't feel like I can complain either.

They had my truck for the whole day. I'm not happy with the local dealership.

Took about 2.5 hours at the dealer today. But I also had them take a look at a bubble forming in the bed liner.

Well, bit of bad news here. So when I picked up my truck, there was an unknown dent in the hood that I brought to their attention. What I want to know is how the fuck did they dent the hood when they were doing the rear bumper recall! Any way, it was there and right on the driver side crease of the hood, so completely noticeable when I first got in the truck.

Of course, the sales director immediately says no way it was us. The truck was washed by the dealer, so I pointed that out since it was an auto car wash. (Fuck those things I might add.) He starts to defend it right away saying he personally choose that type of car wash to prevent these things and blah, blah BULLSHIT.

So today, they tried to fix it (Out of goodwill they said even-though they absolutely caused it.) and scratched the fuck out of where the dent was. And the dent wasn't even fixed all the way. They are keeping the truck to "See if there is anything that can be done..." tomorrow.

Any ideas on what to do??

Contemplating calling Toyota Corporate... Just bugs the shit out of me thinking how the hell did they dent it in the FIRST place!

Well they're suppose to do a walk thru with you when you drop, off your truck for service.. for this exact reason... if they did not mark it down on the paper work then when you receive the teuck back and had a dent.. its 100% their fault... no arguing about it.. that's exactly why they do that..

Yep, we did a walk around and the only thing that was marked was the scratch on the bumper end because thats literally the only thing that was done... They really have no leg to stand on.

So get that paper work and walk in that office and say fix it!! It was t there when I dropped it off, it was t written down by your rep therefore it wasn't there and it was done sometime when you took it into your possession and gave it back to me... easy $$$'

You think they'll let me get my hands on the original paperwork?

My paperwork doesn't have any walk around on it. Just the finished work...

They give you a copy of it, and yes they still have original paperwork also.

Well took the truck in today for its scheduled 10,000 mile service and bumper recall fix. Neither one got done because of their incompetence. They didn't note anything down from when I called in and scheduled the appointment. Said that they where out of the kits bla bla bla.

Nope not here. Have been doing business with service for Toyota care appointments for over 2 years now with our sequoia and now he tundra. I never throw anything away like that.... what dealership do you normally go to? (Like Penske, or big two?) I always go to an auto nation... this being the first time to this one.

Took it in twice in the past week and got no such paperwork. :notsure:This morning nothing and sat nothing... and non of the times for the sequoia for that matter. Just checked the file to make sure. I file all that shit away, and nothing of the sort...

I go to Findlay Toyota. It's a Toyota Dealership.. nothing else.. I'd walk in there without talking to anyone and go to service.. ask someone to make a copy of the paperwork you just recently had and tell them it's for your own records of what's been done to your vehicle.. they'll give it to you.. just don't walk in saying you need the copy since you dent my truck

Got my truck back today but the rear bumper trim doesn't sit flush now. Does this look off to you? The gap is bigger than it should be. I compared it to another truck on the lot.

Ya I complained and they said that is how it is. But I don't think so. Dealers are really irritating because they are so quick on saying it's normal. They said they are ordering me new parts.... I don't really have faith in them!

Same. I lost faith when I bought this truck. Or maybe it is just auto-nation. Then I lost total faith when they dented my hood while doing the rear bumper recall. Total BS.

Mines has a slight gap Also and on the outside bumper, I don't mind cuz it's easier for me to clean.
