One thing that we hate about our trucks?

Anyone who doesn't want their Tundra anymore can arrange to have me pick it up. I'm more than happy to take unwanted trucks off the hands of unhappy people.

I'm pissed because a little Asian woman don't come out from under the seat every time I get behind the wheel and give me a hand job. But hell, we can't have everything.

 

I don't understand why the power fold mirrors need the key on to work, there are times when I park and after I get out, realize I forgot to fold them and then you have to turn the ignition back on, push the button, wait for them to fold, then turn the ignition off again.

Then I won't even start in on the JBL system, just gonna replace it.

 

I wanted to change my headlight bulbs. Then I found out you have to remove half the front end to do it. Not much of a complaint overall though.

 

She can jump out from under my seat anytime.

 

In most circumstances I don't have a need to fold them, but there is an occasional time (like in my garage when my wife's Denali is parked) that I have to avoid them and it would be nice to fold them without having to turn the truck back on. It is a very minor problem, but annoying none the less. If there is an option to do it via remote, I haven't found it.

 

2017 Limited does not have automatic side mirrors!!! Biggest PIA! I can’t get my truck in my garage without folding the mirrors. So I carry a small broom stick with a bike hook and roll down passenger window, hook mirror in. Then pull into garage. Rrrrrrrrr!!!!

 

Is there a mod to make them automatic? Buy the motor and switch? Anyone done this before?

 

There is somewhere a thread on here where a member installed power-folding mirrors. If I remember correctly you have to run your own wiring.

 

I'm annoyed that there isn't a blank screen setting in the information display. O funny want to see how many miles I have left, or my average mpg, I just want off.

 

If you are referring to the display between the tach and speedo, there is a position for a blank screen. Just keep looking, you will find it. If you are talking about the main display in the center of the console, you can turn that off by going to Apps.

Sorry you only seen a couple conflicts while in the corp. Maybe a marriage counselor can help you out. I spent 26 years in the ARMY and we went to WAR.

 

I am referring to the one between the tach and speedo. I cannot find the setting that leaves it blank. Every push of the disp button just cycles through. I've pushed that button many times, no success.

 

Front brake warp... make sure your lugs aren't over-torqued. According to local mechanic, once brakes are hot they can warp if lugs are on too tight, especially if you are running a cheaper disc.

 

My limited stickers for $50k and has 4 cigarette lighter style plugs and a whole 1 usb port for the whole truck...
How does a 2018 Toyota have cigarette lighter style plugs still in it!!! Smh

If I push the down button on the right quad control on the steering wheel twice I get this:

 

I believe that screen is only available in 2018 year models...You have a 2018...those of us that have prior years, do not have the same screens...I do not have a blank screen in my 2016...

All vehicles have things people don’t like. Not putting it down just hoping Toyota sees the things people don’t like and makes design changes.
I own Toyota’s because of the reliability.
I can deal with some design issues but not running is a big pain in the a**.

The thing I don’t like is that after 2 1/2 months from ordering I still don’t have it.

I did find out today that it finally got to the dealership on Saturday. Now to get the topper painted and all the extras installed. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up at the end of the week. Closest dealership is 90 miles away. I’ll have to take a Greyhound to get there.

Was initially meant to be taken light heartily from one service to another. but........

 

It might take 15 minutes to pull the grille and lower trim pieces.
