Just to be complete, Ram does as well.

From all the complaining on this thread, sounds like some of you all would be happier with a Chevy.

    -Auto up windows. Check
    -power rear window. Check
    -Better stereo. Check
    -Power outlet on 24/7. Check

I think Nissan doesn't' have it either.

    Maybe it's a "domestic" thing.

Did you consider this when you paid for it?
sorry man. Must be part of a package that is not on the truck.

The bench seats do have a storage compartment in the middle seat itself. It's a good hiding spot for...various things

Funny when people complain about not having features with a SR5. Got to pay to play.

Second funniest thing is complaining about 38k truck. For 38k, the Tundra is a screaming deal.

I gotta admit, this is my first truck the power window thing i can live without and now i know for my next toyota purchase just to buy a crewmax. I love my truck and never will go for a ford, chevy or dodge. I have buddies that own all three and have nothing but problems.

All domestic vehicles (cars and trucks) have the power on all the time, while all imports don't. The same way as domestics have the headlight switch on the dash and imports have it on a stalk on the steering wheel.
With global market vehicles it might change, but that's the way it has been traditionally.

Also, Japanese made cars have the turn signal stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. Since the Tundra is US built, it is one of the only Toyotas with the signal stalk on the left side.

I’ve had multiple Japanese built Hondas and Toyotas. All have had the turn signal on the left side.

    Edit: 89 CRX Si, 91 Civic Si, 89 Toyota Pickup, 89 4Runner, 00 4Runner, 05 4Runner. All left side blinker stalk.

My '07 Titan had always on 12 volt. I had to mod my Tundra to accomplish it. I pulled a wire from the battery.

There really isn't anything I hate about my truck. The one thing I didn't like was the sound of the JBL premium stereo and I fixed that on my own dime. Besides that it probably is the best truck I have owned up to this point despite the fact that it doesn't have all the latest gizmos.

I should have indicated that there is a little bit of background to my "jumper" mod. I used to belong to a motorcycle club (Concours Owners Group, or COG) and I mentioned my jumper solution on my 2006 on one of the forum threads and indicated a desire to do the same with my power windows. One of the members of the group was a seasoned Toyota mechanic at a large dealership in the Sacramento area and chimed in that he knew how to do the mod for my windows. He rode his Concours over to my house and did the same jumper mod for my power window relay that I did for the power outlets. He said that he could not have done it if I brought my Tundra to the dealer since they can only follow official Toyota procedures. This was not one of them. I had a spare water pump for his bike so we made a trade. I still have the relays in my electrical parts drawers.

So, were good on the safety aspect, the Toyota mechanic confirmed it to me.

Bought a limited and no rear glass defroster. wat in tarnation, and the fact Toyota can't throw a relay in their vehicles for lane merging and switching lanes so I don't have to hold my blinker on..

Same with my wife's 4Runner! It drives me nuts when I drive her car then get back in my truck. I would be happy with just auto up and down on the drivers side.

I did not check a box for a cam tower leak option but I am with you on all of the bells. I got a SR model. I went into it knowing what it had and what I will be changing. Like the two speed wipers, fog lights and leather wrap steering wheel.

I have a 17 Limited and really do like it but there are a few things I don't love.

    1. My seats feel more like a bench than a seat. They are pretty wide and I would love some adjustable lateral supports

    2. No digital speedometer.

    3. I don't like the way my transmission seems to "hunt" for the right gear at very slow speeds.

I doubt it. The mechanism would have to have a pressure sensor somewhere for safety. My wife's Sequoia has "auto up" and if it senses resistance it reverses and goes down (to keep fingers from getting pinched, etc.).
