Did some reading and found a link on a taco forum that said oven cleaner won't strip the chrome off our emblems but that bleach will. It takes a couple of days and a couple bottles of bleach but it works, it eats the chrome but does nothing to the plastic.

Is this the one from the steering wheel horn button?

That's an awesome good looking job you did. Doesn't exist on my pro. I did a 3m adhesive wrap on the steering wheel one but am not happy with it. If it could be removed you have provided the perfect solution, oh well....

I'm wondering the same, I imagine it would. Might be worth stripping my chrome grille and bumper caps.

There was a guy on TW who did a custom paint job on all his interior console pieces and the emblem you are talking about. I tried to find it but failed. I think he just said that he used gorilla glue on the points he had to cut to get it off. Might try looking on Tacoma world for it. If I get more time later ill do another search.
