One Heck Of a Project

The model came from some Russian person who pulled it from the Grand Turismo Sport Playstation video game. I assumed Sony or (whatever studio makes the game) 3D scanned a real truck. And based on some prints I did last year they did. The main problem the model was Not to scale, it was WAY too small. But I did some math and scaled it up.

As for printer volume my Voron 2.4r2 is a 350x350x250mm(13.75"x13.75" bed) at the moment, it should be 330mm Z height but my Z drag chain is too short, and I add more links. To get to max height.

 

If you can make it look like glass fenders... holy cow.

 

Update: test fender complete.

Fitment is about 90% good, but most of that can be cleaned up with trimming and sanding

Yes and No, The truck is lower, on new shoes, and wider, however not wider by my 3D printed kit. I honestly lost patience with the process and caved in and bought a kit LOL . I printed about 90% of the pieces and they're just sitting in my guest bedroom, sadly where I haven't touched them in 6 months.



On a good note, I learned how good MMA (Methylmethacrylate adhesives) is. That was the glue I was using to bond the prints together. It's a catalyst activated two-part industrial-grade structural adhesive, and yeah it smells as bad as it sounds.

And yes, runners are coming off soon. And MAY eventually going to put the black rubber edge gasket on the flares, but honestly at this point, it's been 6 months so probably not.
