This looks sooo good. That ARB bumper is just perfect on these trucks. Keep making me want one even though i have no real need for a bumper.

Did anybody else get over 4" of lift from this kit? I ended up w/4.5"+ lift (using the 614 coils but w/ARB Summit bumper & 10K winch) somehow & can't figure it out for the life of me.
    Thanks.

Another thing I’ve noticed is my truck is perfectly level, no rake, after installing this lift. I installed the 614 coils with full Dakar leaf pack and their greasable shackles. Did anybody else’s truck end up with zero front/back rake after the OME lift? ARB says it should’ve maintained its factory rake but mine clearly didn’t.
I’m at my wits end with this ordeal!

I got a smoking deal on it or I wouldn’t have bought it. Best online price I found was $2,250 + $250 shipping. No way I’d pay $2,500 for a damn bumper! I ended up getting the bumper (new but had a few shipping scratches) and a new (open box) Smittybilt 10K winch for $1,600!
It was local with no shipping or tax. I couldn’t pass that up!

Honestly, the ride is fantastic. It’s when I hit a pothole or try to go off road that it all goes to shit with the banging. I guess if I always drove on great roads and never went off road, I’d be totally happy. In actuality, I live in the country with shitty roads, go off road/camping several times a year and drive around the deer lease for 100’s of miles a year. I bought this kit due to my particular needs, knowing that I put 60K+ miles on my FZJ80 with OME kit, beat the hell out of it for 1,000’s of miles off road, from the Mexican border to the Canadian border, with zero issues. It’s what solidified my decision for OME, and gave me 100% confidence that I’d be happy with it. I’m a bit heartbroken I have this outcome and completely dumbfounded as to why my truck is the fluke anomaly. I want to love it, I really do but this topping out of the shocks, due to only .75” of down travel, sucks ass. I could’ve gone with Fox, King, whatever, as money isn’t really an issue here (thank God I’m fortunate right now in that category). I wanted:
Maintenance free (for the most part)
    Tried and true
    Quality
    Availability
I felt I hit all those marks with this kit but........ I digress.
I appreciate any and all input on my situation and will try just about anything under the sun to make this kit work for me so I’m all ears. Thanks for letting me rant and I won’t jack this thread anymore except to reply to peoples responses pertaining to assisting me.
Thanks y’all and have a great day!!!!

That's such as steal for that bumper with a winch!! So jealous. I think the MSRP is just absurd for what it is.

I'm just really surprised you're having those issues. I read your other thread and you tried just about everything. I'm wondering if the shock itself may be defective? Possibly in the event there was a valving issue from the factory. Seems to be the only other thing you haven't combed through in your suspension. Its still confusing how much lift you have as well. There was a guy in the Dobinsons suspension thread that had a similar issue as you where he ended up with like 6"+ of lift from what was supposed to be 3".

I run the 612 springs but nonetheless the ride quality is great onroad. I live on a dirt road and also wheel the truck and it does great, no issues at all. Hope you get that figured out, its just a shame since their products are such high quality typically.

How are you liking the OME kit? I'm debating on this kit or the Toytec complete 3" Aluma series kit.

It’s almost 1am and I just finished reading this thread start to finish. Thanks fellas for all the data. My 2010 tundra 5.7 TRD has 180000km on it and it’s time for an OME lift. Not sure if I’m gonna buy a bumper one day but I’m gonna go with the
EK1502B1 kit just in case. 2614 coils.

If I’m out to lunch let me know.

Any fellow Canucks still around that might know where a guy can buy this kit and the SPC UCAs for a fair price? Many thanks, stay healthy everyone. Nice trucks

So i found a pretty good deal on an ARB Summit bumper with some minor cosmetic damage. Would it be inadvisable to run that with the 612 springs despite them having a 700lb spring rate? Only asking because i'd like to avoid buying new springs, disassembling my shocks, getting another alignment etc. My truck is also a 4.6L, not a 5.7

I bet you’ll be fine with that spring rate. I’m on 613‘s and have a full size ARB Sahara bumper, 5.7 and find it a tad stiff still. Go for it and post pics :hattip::fistbump:

From a wheel standpoint, would the 275/70 KO2's look pretty nice? Don't want to get to 35's, sticking to 33's

They look a little small to me, but I'm running 37s now so hard to judge.

Ok now its my turn to thread jack :threadjacked:... currently I have a 2007 RCLB with the 4.7L V8. I'm running Bilstein 5100s all around but would like to move to a 3" lift and put some 35s on before this summer (moab trip). I've called Hugo at Toytec and talked to some people at extreme terrain about springs and putting non factory springs on the Bilsteins like OME or Eibach.

I've got a custom built front bumper that probably weighs around 100+ lbs and then the Smittybilt 9500 so thats plus another 100 lbs. I figured I would need the 614s from OME but maybe I should get something different? And also, should I just buy the coils themselves right now, swap the factory coils for the OME, and if they don't work well with the 5100s, then get the OME front shocks? I'm trying to stay away from needing new UCAs if I can help it. I've been reading and reading and reading, so any input is greatly appreciated.

Also, side note, my truck is more of an overlander than a rock crawler (fyi)

I would not run OME coils with 5100s. Get the shocks from OME, they are very beefy and made to work with the OME coils. I dont think 5100s will control the stiffer OME springs, especially if you are running the HD 614s. Do it right the first time and you will be happier- and it will be cheaper in the longrun.

I agree with this. Sell your 5100's on here and you'll recoupe plenty of the cost. The shock body on the OME is larger iirc and its engineered to work with that spring.

Sounds good, thats what I'll do... any idea for the rear? I also have 5100s, I was thinking about a shackle or an add a leaf pack, I don't really wanna do the block

Picked up my truck today from Desert Rat here in Phoenix. It has taken about two months to assemble all of the parts I have needed. This COVID thing is making it hard to find parts!

Installed the ARB Bumper and Warn 12000 lb winch with synthetic rope.
Front: Arb 613 springs and Sport Nitrocharger shocks.
Rear: Arb Dakar leafs, D28xl leafs and the Sport Nitrocharger shocks.
Will be testing the ride on/off road and towing abilities in the next few months.
Initially the ride is firm but feels more planted on city streets.

Can you give me a measurement from the center of the front wheel center cap straight up to the bottom of the fender? I'd really appreciate it.
