Not sure if I’m going crazy but what lights are normally lit on a 2012 Base model instrument panel? My husband n I are arguing and I think my Evac/ gas cap is having issues and he says that certain lights are always lit on the dash. I guess I haven’t been as observant as I should but the lights that are illuminated are : the charging system (battery symbol), oil can in bottom right and gas tank in gas level display.
    Is this normal ?

If I'm understanding you correctly, no those should not just be on all the time. See if it's throwing any codes

Those three shouldn't be on steady or in combination. I would 1... check your oil level. 2... assuming that you have plenty of fuel in the tank, remove the gas cap and put it back on. 3... check your battery terminals for corrosion and make sure they're tight. How old is your battery? You might be due for a new one if it's the original. You might also want to have the truck scanned as @Yodder J suggested to see if there are any codes associated with the lights on the dash.

i filled up on gas, and once i put gas cap on and started engine, the charging system light and the gas light with left arrow lit up. so i turned off engine, reseated gas cap and started it up again but lights stayed on. lights still on after driving it several miles and yesterday the oil lamp light came on???
my husband thought those lights stayed on all the time but he hasnt driven it in awhile.
once the rain storm passes, ill take a pic of the instrument panel. btw i checked the oil and level is good (Toyota changed it about 50 miles ago) but i really think it is my gas cap/evap system... but not sure why the oil lamp light came on later... will also check battery connections as well.
    thank you

while driving last night. sorry out of focus.
i have over sized tires and i got tired of paying for expensive sensors so my low tire indicator is always on and something is going on with my airbag sensor so those two are always on.

Based on that picture. The TPMS and Airbag are the only ones to worry about. The oil pressure and voltage battery stay on to indicate what the actual gauge represents.

This explains your low tire/TPMS light being on.

Only the airbag and tpms are not supposed to be on, the others are lit so you know what the heck gauge you’re looking at when it’s dark.

Oh my bad, I understand, yes those are not independent lights/indicators they are graphics that tell you what gauge you are looking at.

As others said, airbag light and tpms light are on indicating something is wrong.

The battery is just a picture to indicate what gauge it is for. Battery attention light would be in between the gauges.

Did you try reintializing the TPMS system to get rid of the TPMS light? There's a button on the dash. See your owner manual.

Basically, you adjust your cold tire pressures to normal pressure, turn the switch to "ON", hold the dash button until the TPMS light blinks three times, then release the button. Leave the switch in "ON" position a few minutes, then turn switch to "OFF".

Did not know I could do that! I definitely will try this once weather improves! Thank u for that. The light was an eyesore but I eventually got used to it.
I’m pretty embarrassed about my initial post. I rarely drive it at night n only to work n back:(
