Oil filter housing cap? (not the usual questions)

I'm looking to order a factory (plastic) oil filter cap, so I have a spare on hand, should I ever damage the current cap during future changes. (Don't want a metal or aftermarket cap).
Every online dealer parts site seems to list the caps for 2007-2020. When I type in my truck, it says "this part will not fit your vehicle".
    It's a 2021 SR 2wd 5.7 w/tow pkg.
I'm confused, as there's nothing about the truck, engine or oil filter assembly that's any different from the previous years. At least not that I can tell or know of. I even had one site pull up a screw on, external filter for my truck (maybe confused with 2022 on their site?)
I dunno what the deal is.
Seems highly unlikely, but was there a very minor change for one model year? doesn't seem very Toyota-ish to do that. Is 2021 the bastard middle child year?
Anyone else deal with trouble finding this part for a 2021?
Anyone know that I can just go ahead and order one for a different year and it will be identical?

    EDIT:
Now the number is showing up on Sparks as the right part#. They only show one in stock so it's in the cart. Can anyone verify this is right?
15620-0S010 - Engine Oil Filter Housing Cover - 2007-2021 Toyota | Sparks Parts

    EDIT: EDIT:
Also, I lost the thread about filter wrenches (I don't think I have my old one from last Tundra). Anyone got a link or part#?
    Thanks.

I also came up with PN 15650-0S010 for a filter cap housing assembly. This may come with a filter already. I looked up a 18 since when I tried with a '21, it said to contact dealer.

I've only read good reviews about the one I linked. I was going to go with what you showed until I saw people saying the "teeth" or drive nut broke off after a couple of uses.

MotivX made 2 versions of the wrench (I have both). One has the gaps to engage the tabs on the housing and the later one just works on the outside diameter.

Yeah, so I'm im not nuts. At least, not because of this. I was getting similar results when I typed in 2021. Weird.

See the wording of the link I copied earlier?
I type it in now and it's back to saying it doesn't fit. But it's for a 5.7 Tundra with tow pkg and oil cooler. which I have. I surrender.
    15620.jpg

    15650.jpg

Just FYI, it says that number is for non tow pkg, but I don't know how accurate any of this crap is now.

I just looked up a '20, since it's sans oil cooler and it gave me 15650-0S010. I didn't pick a trim either. Just the basic one. Just to be sure, I'd call a dealer with your VIN.

Well, never had an issue with the original plastic housing on previous 2 Tundras. I don't see any advantage to switching. Mostly because, as far as I know, you have to remove the stand pipe from the plastic housing and install it in the metal housing. It's not really designed to be removed. I dunno, I just feel like it's a part that doesn't need to be upgraded or modified of monkeyed with. I'll be doing all oil changes myself (always have) so I don't have to worry about someone else over tightening it or breaking anything. I may never need it, but I figured I'd like to have a spare just in case I do something stupid at some point. I won't have to wait a few days for a new one and drive my wife's little Ford bronco to work. I couldn't care less about the rhinestone steering wheel cover. I don't want people seeing me in a Ford.
So, I want a spare on the shelf.

Yeah, I had that one show up in one of my many attempts. Not sure what that's all about.
I contacted them shortly after placing the order, to confirm fitment. They never answered and then I got an email that it shipped a few hours later.
At this point, I'll just wait for it to show up and I'll compare it to the one in the truck when I change the oil.
The whole filter housing assembly is different than the 4wd 2011 and 2015. Not sure if that's because this one is 2wd, or if it's a change for the 2021.

It does notncome with a filter. When I replaced it on my previous truck, it was just the housing and the tube, and possibly the oring....I don't recall.

Yeah, I ordered the cap and 2 filters. The filters come with all the O rings.
Weird, the housing that comes with the filter was $100.
    I ordered a cap and 2 filters, + $20 shipping and it was $90.

I never understood it either. Millions of Toyotas are running the plastic cap. I will admit, I did break one on my Prius, but that was my own fault for not wanting to spend the money on the proper tool to get it off. Other than that, there is no reason to upgrade it. There is literally a skid plate guarding it.

It's probably a good idea to have a spare. I'd be happy to buy one and pay shipping if you wont ever use them.

Having a backup is definitely a good idea.

I had one break on me a few years ago while doing an oil change on a Saturday. I was just barely able to make it to a Toyota dealer who had one in stock before they closed that day.
