This all sounds good @driverdog . I've got the tables covered for I have many in the storage room in that office building. I also have some bag chairs as well. It may be a good idea if @kwinfield94 could edit post #1 and create/maintain a list of confirmed attendees and what each is bringing. This would make it easily accessable in post 1 for everyone to reference. Just an idea.

I dropped it off to get tinted this evening but I can get the photos tomorrow. If someone with a Tundra wants to volunteer I will gladly step to the side since it is a Tundra meet.

Man. Really wish I could make it to this. We decided to stay in NNY or otherwise I’d be there. Seems like an awesome meet-up.

    Brewery suggestions:
Hardywood: largest space depending on the size of your event. Some of RVA’s mellower offerings in beer styles. (Think Va’s version of Sam adams vs a Trillium, etc). Good beers though and one of my favorite stouts. (Gingerbread at Christmas time).

The Veil: if y’all are into the NE hazy IPAs/ imperial & double IPAs. Also great sours too. Definitely for juice wolves. Not as large as hardywood but definitely worth a visit.

lickinghole creek: out in Goochland. Great beers of the farmhouse / Belgian variety and some insane stouts. Literally on a farm. Gravel roads, etc. great vibe and atmosphere.

Strangeways. Smaller spot in a strip mall. More eclectic offerings. Good spot if your palate is looking for something different. Some classic Belgian / farmhouse styles too.

Legend Brewing: The Godfather. The one that started the craft beer scene in RVA and absolutely inspired the above mentioned spots. Probably not the place to to bring 30+ tundras as parking is limited but a cool spot on the south side of the james river. Great views of the city.

Mekong: not a brewery per se, but consistently named top beer bar in America for like the last 5-10 years. An Bui the owner knows his stuff and just has some insane beers and tons of them. Great Vietnamese cuisine too. Bui also helped to start lickinghole creek, the veil, and has his own brewery / brew pub called “the Answer”.

    Hope this helps y’all out!

I’ll be there. I’m cleaning out the garage and have some TRD Pro parts for sale if anyone is interested with about 39k of use (just found out I can’t post in the marketplace yet). TRD Pro headlights, suspension (shocks and factory leaf springs), and wheels / lugs (sale pending). Taking reasonable offers.

Is this open to all or only VA residents?

If it helps in allowing me to come, I used to live in VA, my wife is from VA and we still have family there.

I reached out to a buddy in VA who said he would let me borrow his charcoal pig cooker trailer. We could grill up some burgers and :dancingbacon:.

If youd like to bring this. That would be awesome, I was planning on bringing my grill but if youd want to bring that, it'd save my back from loading a grill into the back of my truck

Well to those who are going to need a hotel, would you rather book a night on your own, or would you like me to get a blocked reservation at a hotel, I only ask because I know some people prefer different places. If it was a block room, id look around a best western quality for probably 100ish a night

There is a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn Express just down the road from the meet location (1 mile). Also easy access to Walmart, Cracker Barrel, Waffle House .IHOP and Best Buy.

@driverdog I will be coming from Pittsburgh. I am lucky, I can stay with family Friday night then drive out Saturday morning from just north of Charlottesville.

On my way out I should be picking this up from my buddy in Louisa.

Man if I was coming I could operate that smoker for you and fire down on an assortment of meats that would make your taste buds tingle. I may not be able to detail but I can operate a grill and smoker.

If you’re anything like me, y’all may want to look at hotels closer to the Brewery vs the meet-up/ detail clinic. Probably looking at a 20 min ride / Uber between the 2 spots (Hardywood Brewing).

    Prost!
