    Lots of good looking trucks!

I’ll be putting a truck camper on mine and don’t want to lift the suspension much to keep a good center of gravity. Probably an added leaf in the rear and a bump stop or potentially bags but kinda want to stay away from bags.

I would rather go smaller wheel with wider tires so if I need to air down I still have a good traction patch. I’ll be doing baja offroad trips on it so traction is key in some places out there.

    I don’t think I’ll go 35’s. Maybe 33x12.50 on 17’s.

    Anyone running that stock?

Question for you guys. I've got my icon 17s on order, got my tires picked out, I think, but how is everybody dealing with the TPMS?
Has anyone had a problem with switching the oem TPMS over to a set of 17" icons? How does the reprogram of the tire pressure setting work?
If I just don't put the TPMS sensors on the new wheels will there be a constant error message? Or can a tech stream approach fix that?
Thanks in advance. I don't see this topic covered elsewhere and I'm just trying to prepare for all the details.

Can someone explain why the OP lists 2003 as the first year described in some part of the posts but references all the way back to 2000 original model for other gen 1 specs?

Truck looks good! Do you have a straight on shot? Trying to see what an 18x9 +18 looks like compared to fender edges. Seems like everyone runs flares with them in all pics I can find.

I apologize in advance with the newbie post but this will be my first time replacing tires with something different than was originally on.

I have a 21 Crewmax Limited Nightshade. The tires on it now are P275/55r20/111H tires. I want something with more tread and a little more aggressive but nothing crazy as I don’t think it goes with a limited very well. I don’t want it to noticeably stick out past the wheel well but I’m fine if it does slightly.

I think I’m leaning towards Toyo 275 R18 A/T 3’s. Does anyone know if these would fit the look I’m looking for? I will be keeping the factory wheels and do not want to do a lift or leveling kit. Thanks for any help!

I’ve been looking at tires a lot lately. The Toyo is super popular and would look great IMO. I’ve had Dynapro at2 for a while and they’ve been great. The only way a tire is gonna stick out is if you add offset. Even a MT tire won’t stick out past the fender on stock rims

Good deal, thanks for the response man. So what I’ve posted will fit my stock wheels?

Well you have 20” rims and said you want 275/18 which is missing a number and a different size rim, so no. You need same numbers that are in original tires.

I have a 2011 tundra base doublecab that came with the stock steel 18" wheels. I am wondering what the factory offset is and am thinking about buying 275/70/18 tires with xd778 wheels with a +35 offset. I want the wheels to be right flush with the fenders. I just put a 2" leveling kit in it. any help would be great as I am new to the forum.

Welcome from AZ. Check out the first post in this thread as I believe it addresses your question about the offset on stock rims. Others can chime in about the correct offset to give a flush wheel profile.

From 305s to 295s, 5100s in the front and a block in the rear

I want to return to the original rear end suspension but add a 1.5 shackle. The ass sits to high the way it is

for those who want to know, I trimmed a lot of plastic to stop rubbing and the previous owner did a cab mount chop WITH OUT WELDING A PLATE IN PLACE.

thanks master Jedi! I gotta do some research tho... the rear block has to go, and I need a good 1.5” shackle kit. Might even go to 6112s Billy’s. I really want it to be perfectly level

Nice. I lived in Wilmington & Wrightsville back in the late 80s/early 90s- lived in KDH while stationed in Chesapeake. Miss the BBQ!
