Thanks brother, I love the look! My favorite about the truck is the audio upgrade, I feel like I can shatter windows with how load it is!!!

Yeah that would be a real mess. Trust me these things do a job just barely moving straight in softer grass. The meats on them dig in and RIP chunks just going slow a d straight. With the wheel cocked and w.o.t it can get real ugly, in a good way of course.

Just got a new 4wd Tundra and kind of hate the stock wheels. I normally don't go aftermarket on wheels but would like to find something reasonable for this truck

I don't do a ton off-road and do a lot of highway miles so would like to stick to a tire with around 50k of life or more on the road.

Most off roading is on dirt roads sometimes with gravel and sometimes not, but also get into grass fields for dirt bike racing events and can be tricky when it rains, but in those cases there are people around to help out if you get stuck.

Think i'm going to stick with the 18's either way but can't really justify just throwing out the stock tires so would like to put them on a better looking set of rims, unless you guys thing the stockers wear out fast anyway or just aren't good for the kind of off road I'm looking at.

What should I be looking for as far as wheels go for decent quality at a reasonable price? I'm not looking for bling or name brands just something that will last and leaning towards a black color

OEM TRD Sport wheels with 3/1.5 leveling and Cooper AT3 XLT 275/65/20 tires. They are a 34.2" OD; slight rubbing on the front mudflap thingies (which I removed) and on the skid plate (which I hammered in about 1/2". No rubbing anymore.

That is a good looking truck. I'm about to lift the front 3" and waiting to see if I can fit 285/65/20s on stocks. If not, then will probably drop to 275/60. Too bad there isn't a huge price difference it would make it easier! :)

Any issues with rubbing on the stock UCAs?

I was going back-and-forth between the 275/65 and 285/65. The difference is from 34.2" to 34.6" OD. I was rubbing on the inside against the skid plate, but it was an easy fix - small rubber mallet and a few wacks was all it took to bend it over and about 1/2" out of the way. The 285 is slightly wider, so it will rub more there. At full lock my passenger side is also almost touching the sway bar, which is not that easy to change. In the front the outside edge rubbed the small mud flaps. Again the 285 is a little wider, and will rub more. With them removed, you should be okay there also.

There is a little gap between the tire and UCA. The 285 should fit, but it will be very close. With the 285s I would have added spacers to prevent it from rubbing on the UCAs. But spacers will put it closer to the front bumper liner. Always a catch 22.
Seeing where the 275/65s are, I think the 285/65s might be just a hair too big causing unnecessary concerns, using OEM wheels and UCAs. It will work, but it will be very tight.

I know, just don't want to listen to reason! I'm wanting that half inch in height and hate to go smaller and could have fit bigger, but not sure that .5 is worth everything it may come with.

Trying to stay away from the spacers and like you said, clears one concern and brings up others.

    Thanks.

Does anyone know if I could run a 295/70/17 on a 2019 with bilstein 5100s up front? According to tire size calculator they are about same size as the 275/70/18s that people run just alittle wider.

Hello CSUVIPER ,I'm having trouble understanding the 17 inch RW wheels which have B F Goodrich 285 70 R17 that are on my truck ,with an 18 inch wheel and tire as a spare. What would the right size tire on the spare need to be? Thanks for having patience with me.

275/65/18 (stock size) will be very very close to the 285/70/17. And cheap

Needing some advice. Looking to finally wrap my SCS ray10s with some rubbers. Im pretty set on Goodyear Druatracs. My truck has stock suspension and I was hoping to get them in 275/70/r18, only I just realized this size in this tire is only good for 7-8.5in rim range. So, wasn't really planning on doing suspension, but would you guys recommend I drop to 275/65? or go up to 285/65? I'm pretty certain from the research I've don't that the 285/65 would require a leveling kit. Any advice is appreciated, thanks all.

Plenty of folks run 275/70/18 on SCS wheels. My Duratracs are 295/65/18 but my front is lifted 2". My spare (mounted on a matching SCS SR8 wheel) is 275/70/18.

Without leveling, either a 275/70 or 285/65 will work. The 275s are only .39" narrower than the 285s but IMHO the taller 275s fill out the wheel well a little better.

Thanks for the advice. So far I really like the 275/70 look on stock suspension. But on the Goodyear duratrac website, that size tire for duratracs only fit a 7-8.5in rim, and the Ray10s are 9in if I'm not mistaken. Honestly at this point I think I might just start doing my research on suspension/ leveling kits, I was going to add it later down the road but seems like sooner is better.

Your truck is super clean by the way, always loved that white with black accents.

I Ended up going with 275/65 for now, until I can pull the trigger on some suspension. Overall really happy with how it made the truck.

I have a 2019 Tundra Tundra Double Cab SR5 stock with P275/55R20 on right now. I was wondering if I would be safe from rubbing if I went with P285/70R17?
