I have a question I'm having a hard time figuring out. I have a 3 inch leveling kit. It came on my tundra when I bought it. I don't know that much about it. It had 33x12.50r18 which I'm sticking with the tire size. I don't know what offset the rims are exactly but I'm looking at new wheels. The wheels I'm looking at are 18x9 with +25 offset. Does anyone see a problem with this size? I don't think the previous owner had the trim any fenders and I don't really want to either. At full lock on a left turn there is very slight rubbing which is completely fine with me. Thank you in advance.

Ok well I am about to pull the trigger on rims and tires. I want whats pictured and they swear with a RC 3" lift that I bought it will not rub! Please help me out here guys. Look at the screenshot I posted with the details. I have a 2012 Tundra SR5 2WD. Will this set up work or do I need the +25 offset? So confused. I only want to do this once. I do not want to cut, chop or bend anything. Thanks in advance.

With that offset, I bet it’d be about as minimal as possible while fitting 35’s. Maybe moving the front liners forward, removing mud flaps too. Unfortunately, no one can “guarantee” that you won’t have to do some trimming.

Ok. Well I guess I will have to see what happens when I get them. I drove this thing home from the dealership last Friday and it has not left my shop since. I dont want to be caught dead with stock steel wheels!

Picking up the TRD rear sway bar kit this Friday, HD Control arms and tons of other stuff on order. Also going to upgrade the entire exhaust, 46 gallon fuel tank and slapping a Auburn Pro LSD differential and 4:88 gears. I am so grateful to you all. I couldnt have done all this without you guys posts and updates. Super stoked to be a member of Tundras.com

Where are you guys buying your tires from? Tirerack and Discount Tire are the 2 I've heard off but are these places any good? They also can't seem to have any 275-70-18 with no white lettering.

Trying to figure out what the best / biggest tire I can run on my truck.

2016 Tundra, Billstein 5100s on top setting up front, sticking with stock limited 20” wheels

Was thinking 295/60 or 285/65 ridge grapplers.

    Any thoughts or help? Thanks!
Also thinkn about getting 1” spacers and curious if that will help or hurt ? I figure help with UCA clearance and hurt with fender ? Will they still fit ?

I haven't tried tirerack yet, but I've bought tires from Discount Tire, Walmart, Sears, NTB, Firestone, 4WPW, Pep Boys and local tire shops. It mostly depends on price and availability when I'm ready to buy. I may try tirebuyer next.

Some will price match, and of those that will, a few will make up the cost by charging extra for mounting and balance, so watch out for that. Most tires have white lettering on one side and black on the other. 275/70/18 is a very popular size. You should be able to easily find what you want in that size.

Don't forget about Sam's Club. I bought a set of LT275 60 20 BFG KO2s (Load Range E) out the door for $920 (caught a couple of rebates in play). That price included taxes and their "all-in" tire installation services (24-hour roadside service, mounting, road hazard, lifetime balancing/rotation/flat repair). That was the cheapest I could find anywhere in my area by over $200.

I am also truly having a hard time finding 275/70/18 KO2's without the white raised lettering. Who the hell buys these tires anyways? I just don't see many driving with them.

Pretty sure all BFG's have white writing on one side, and all black on the other side. Most folks running them put the white lettering facing in so you don't see it, unless you are laying under the truck.

I get my tires from the Toyota dealer as they price match and I get Toyota Road Hazard free.

TRD front and rear sway bars/ CAI. Recon smoked tail lights. LED Bed Lights. LED grill lights Bilstein 6112 front and 5100 rear. RC 1” rear block. RC lower grill LED bar. Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295x60x20 on Fuel D-251 couplers. SDHQ ABS covers. Rear under seat storage. Body mount rebuild. Color matched mirrors, handles. Raptor step bars.
Evening all. I'm new to this forum but have had 2 Tundras and just traded my Range Rover in for 2017 CM Platinum. I always said if I bought another truck is would ALWAyS be a Tundra, and I realize how much I missed my previous trucks. That being said, here is my question (and I want the wheels to stick slightly out from the fenders without flares approx <= 1"):
I am looking to put 295x60x20 nitto ridge grapplers on Fuel Coupler 20x9 +20 offset on. I do not want a significantly lifted truck, as I am 44 and don't want an 18 year old's truck any more. I like a little rake, as if I am towing, a level will set the ass end below the front. I don't mind a little trimming, but don't want to do too much. What lift will allow this, I believe I have seen a 2.5 front and 1 rear, but the question is what lift (preferably not a body lift) will allow this clearance with minimal to no rubbing? I'll likely also put bilstein 5100's across the board. Thanks for any and all help!

And I have a slew of mods I am working on including: 2018 LED head and fog lights, grill upgrade, @dirtydeeds TRD replacement dual exhaust, TRD CAI, TRD rear sway and front sway bars, winjet tail lights, bed LEDs, under seat storage, console safe, grill LED bar. I think that's all for now. The Range Rover trade netted me enough cash to play! It sucks going from a 605HP truck to a 381HP, but the SC is too much for the wife to agree to, LOL!!

Looks great. I have 6112s waiting for me to install them. Am thinking of going with size tire. Any rubbing up front with your setup?

Got my new wheels. I have stock suspension (I don't want to lift or level this truck since we tow quite a bit now), the rims are 20x9 Fuel lethals with +20 offset. I stuck with the stock tire size of 275/55/20, but changed to an all terrain Nitto Terra Grappler G2. I could've gone up in size, but I knew this size wouldn't rub.

IMG_4573.jpg I just added 5100's (middle setting in front) and went from the stock 20" +60mm rims and 275/55/20's to 18x9" Methods and BFG's KO2 at 275/70/18. Had to remove the front mini mud flaps, and still have a slight rub at complete lock backing up to the right on the inner front plastic fender well. No big deal. Truck looks, rides and handles much better!

285-65-18 Cooper A/T3s on FN BFDs. They rub a little with stock suspension even when the mudflaps in front of the tires are removed, but my 6112s go on tomorrow which should fix the issue.

My 275/75/18's rub just a little (drivers side front only) in reverse cutting all the way to the stop turning right. I removed the front mini mud flaps (they both rubbed) and its rubbing on the lower plastic inner fender well now. I'm going to heat it up and try to push it inward and let it harden to see if I can get enough clearance. I have 5100's up front set at the middle position. I don't think higher would help my situation.

I am totally addicted to Tundra Life now!
I went with a 3" lift Level. Did 18x9 rims with a +18 offset and 33x12:50x18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Zero rub, did not have to remove or cut anything and Im happy for now. I STILL WANT 35'S BUT THATS MY NEXT TUNDRA.
