I am running 1.5" Bora spacers and the tires sit perfectly flush with the fenders. My truck does have the factory fender flares mounted.

A little this and that...Broke now
Ok boys, after months of checking out this site and a few minor mods. I was able to knock out my first major upgrade:
New tires/wheels. I used the info from this site to make my decision and I appreciate the effort everyone puts in their threads to share. I decided on Cooper Discoverer STT Pros on Black Method Roost 285/65/18R with 18 mm offset. I think they came out great some minor rub on the flaps but thats an easy fix. Check these out

Hey guys, just bought me a '12 tundra limited, loving it so far!

HAVE to lift it a little and put on the right wheels/tires. I like trucks with a wide stance and a good wheel/tire ratio. Cost is important.

    Here's what I'm thinking:
    -Bilstein 5100's (2.5" front lift/level)
-KMC XD SERIES XD807 Strike 18x10 -24mm offset
    -Nitto Terra Grappler G2 305/65/18, which are 33.58" x 12.24"

Does that sound like it will fit? Do you think they'll stick out too far? Will I need to cut any plastic to avoid rubbing?

I'm a new member although I've been reading this tread top to bottom in the last few weeks and found it extremely helpful to pick my new tires and rims. So as a payback here's a couple pics of my truck with the new setup, hopefully it can help someone else. Rims are Worx Beast 20x9 with +25 offset, and tires are BFG KO2 305/55/20. Will need to get the heat gun on the front fender liners but I'm really happy how the truck turned out

Can anyone point me to a pic of a 9" wide wheel with a -24 offset on a leveled Tundra? Having a hard time finding anypics with that aggressive of an offset. Also need to know if the wheel sticking out that far will help avoid rubbing or if I'm dreaming

I think I have a disorder as I cannot narrow this down so I need professional help and possibly medication ;)
Here is what I have - 2016 Tundra Platinum - Black 4x4 CM

    Current set up is this.
Front - Bilstein 6112s upfront set on the highest setting plus one CB shims on each side for @ 3 inches of total lift
    Light Racing UCAs
    Rear - CB +3 shackles

The wrench in the deal - I need to stay just slightly below 83 inches for max cab height, say a max of 82.5 inches to get into the garage unless I raise the higher of the door opening. This is where the disorder really takes over. Lol

    Considerations:
Option 1 - most economical option; front - add another set of CB shims to the front for another 1/2 inch in lift
Also I would be adding the CB steering kit
rear - Add a leaf in the rear providing another 1-1 1/8 inch of lift in the rear @ $600-700 investment
This would essentially give me a total life of 3.5 in the front and @ 3.6 in the rear - Does that sound right?

    Option 2 - Get a 4" system to replace what I have. Estimated to @ $1,200-1,300 minimum

Factory platinum wheels with BFG KO2s 285 65/20

Looks good but I'm on the fence when it comes to my next move. I want to get custom wheels and possibly different tires if need be so it seems between these; 18x9 or 20x9 both with either a +18 or +20 offset. I like semi aggressive but the tucked look as well - a double edge sword of sorts. I like the wider tire but how the vertical sides of the wheels and tires look flush-ish and visually add height to the truck. Several things that I like about 20s but I have seen some very good looking truck with 18s and cannot ignore that I read the 18s ride better. I'm not an off roader but would obviously like some utility if needed.

Among the sea of options, does anyone have suggestions, ideas and or pics. Here are couple of trucks that I like as examples.
The black one is mine with 1" Bora spacers on it as it's seen there. Those had to go bc I had some issues so this is why I'm at the current cross road with wheels and adding some lift. I'm pretty set on the XD Monsters in chrome bc I had them on a Tacoma previously and loved them.

White one at night is a 4 inch lift. Red one is pretty much the same set up. The second white one is a 6 inch lift so I'm looking for the in between although I pretty sure that a 4.5 inch lift will get me to 83 inches which might be too close so that's why I'm on the 4 inch.

3.5 in the front and @ 3.6 in the rear will leave you ~2" higher in the rear. If you want level you need to be at 3.5" front and ~1.5"-1.75 rear.
I have heard that add a leafs make the rear too stiff, unless you tow all the time.
Adding too much top spacers to a shock designed for a certain lift can be bad and cause failure to the shock.

Thanks for all the great advice and pics on this thread. After reading all the posts Im thinking the 5100s up front should be all I need to clear 295-60-20 Toyo OC AT2 with a 20x9 wheel with an +18 offset.
Do you think Ill have any rubbing?

Need help! Just gave my wife 2016 1794 edition for bday. She loves the truck but thinks the tires look small and wimpy. I just want to get bigger tires on the rims that came with the truck without mods. Possible? If I need to do something like a leveling kit is this something the dealership can do.

I have some 305/60/r18 tires on my tundra and it is stock height and it doesn't rub anywhere... And yes the toyota dealership can install a leveling kit. The only thing was that i found that the tires were sticking out a bit too much so I installed bushwacker fender flares.

Anyone think it is possible to run a 37x12.5x17 tire and 0 offset wheels with 3.5-4" of lift, body mount chop and prerunner bumper?

Hi guys, I am new to this forum but have been lurking around here for some time now. I just finished installing a ready lift 3/2 kit for my 15 limited. I have a few questions if you guys can chime in to help out. I am not a mechanic but had the tools to do it at home.
Will be taking it to get aligned on Sunday.

    1) when i jack up my front at the side frame, the UCA falls so low that it gets past my spring causing a scrape on my spring. Is this normal when doing a 3" spacer lift? I feel like i have to jack it from under the LCA now to not have this issue.

    2) i want to keep my stock 20's but want bigger tires to fill in the wheel wells. I was thinking 275/65/20 (34") or 285/65/20 (34.5"). Does one size benefit another?
Will i need to trim anything etc. ?

37's will clear the rear if you don't do any crazy off roading. the front should fit. Don't quote me on the front though. Here's 37's with fiberglass and long travel and we still needed to do a small amount of clearancing.

i need some help with figuring out this whole back spacing offset thing. I just bought a 7" lift says I can fit 37" tires with a 20" rim but need a back space of 6.25...would a +25 offset be similar to that?

Don't go negative on the wheels. They'll stick out like 4" and turn your Tundra into a bro truck. You can get your tires to stick out with around an 18-25mm offset.
